- This is the second in a series of four videos on the improvements I’m making on my DIY Portable Workshop. Today I’ll be showing how to use and modify the jig saw table guide.
It’s a simple design for attaching to the inverted jig saw’s folding table. The main change was to make a new guide piece, which I’ve fitted with a bearing that will act as back support for the jig saw blade.

You are totally a very skilled craftsman, when giving info on your videos, they are precise and very informative. I wish I had your knowledge and expertise. You are a truly gifted person.
Hi friend, I am an Italian maker. I subscribed to your channel because your videos are amazing and you build truly spectacular things. I congratulate you. I will continue to follow you
This is the mother of all workbench 👍
Your inovations are simply perfectly done, don't know what to write except WOW
Outstanding improvement to the jigsaw clamping setup. That's how everybody should do it
thanks!
You’re channel is amazing; I love the innovation and how you explain everything. I also love how you update as we all go in with the best intentions but learn that maybe it wasn’t the best approach. Your insights are invaluable, you could just keep to them to yourself but you share. I appreciate it so much and I always look forward to your videos!

Thank you so much!
Excelente trabajo
Thanks for another great video. Keep up the good work.
Great presentation, I have purchased the plans. I have used your plans to make a guide fence for the Titan jointer thicknesser. Works a dream. Thanks for inspiring us newbie woodworkers. I intend to attach to an MFT table that I made. What about a fence for resawing? Maybe in your previous video.
Regards
Paul
Master thank you for teaching
Thanks a bunch!! I'll incorportate the changes.
Very neat idea!
Your designs are terrific!
Bought the plans already. I'll get started on my portable workbench as soon as the other two improvement vids are out. Since I have enough space in my garage, I'll make my saw table a bit wider, with room to later add a trunnion lift/tilt system designed by others. Maybe with arduino control, so tilt can be adjusted set at front of saw (and not under router table). Can't wait to get started.
good ideas Richard, I would love to see photos
Inspiration as always!
Sehr interessantes und gelungenes Projekt!
Awesome, thanks for your sharing
Amazing designs as usual. I am totally impressed with your designs and their functionality. The ONLY problem I see for ME is that I cannot obtain that Baltic birch at any price let alone in various sizes (thicknesses) and quantities. I do feel that solid woods would not work quite as well for the long term because of their susceptibility for being affected by moisture causing distortions.
Great update. Awesome videos
thanks!
Good job!
I really like the design of the locking mechanism of the jigsaw. Very unique and quick to setup.
Have you thought about a quick release for a router with a fix base? Everyone use the 3 screws and it takes too long and we need to find our screwdriver. Thanks
It’s a perfect cutting machine now.
GOOD JOB
Genial video, muy buena opción para no perforar la base de la Caladora eléctrica.
gracias Luis!
Thank you
golden hands!!!
nice work, why the wood jumps right after the end?
Your work is very clean and your process is thought out, will sub -thanks for sharing.
Hello friend
Hello there! I m an amateur woodworker from Sri Lanka, I like your work and wish to make a jigsaw table with blade guide. I ve done it halfway I m yet make the blade guide. I just tried to cut a piece of wood but the work piece jumps like hell. What i want to know is, what has and where have i gone wrong.? Please help me.
What do you use for the bearings for jig saw blade? I wish I had found you earlier
know-how good
These are great upgrades! Have you considered adding small triangle gussets to the arm to reduce its vertical flex, or do you feel it isn't necessary?
I thought about it but as you can see in the video, it is not a problem when making cuts! thanks
영상 잘 봤습니다!! 또 오겠습니다!! ,.,.,.
magnificence
I see 2 additional threaded insert in the horizontal piece, closer to the edge, is there a reason? (I don't remember seeing a use for them in the previous videos)
hi Eric, they were for this experiment that I have barely used: czcams.com/video/dUkS71X_d0A/video.html
What is the brand and model number of the jigsaw blade? I can't find such long length. Thank you

@@Paoson_Woodworking Thank you. It is a long fast cut blade, does it able to do a clean cut?
🔥👌💪👍
Beautiful overall, i'd just put wing bolts
thanks!
What size blade in jig saw in inches and where to obtain them

@@Paoson_Woodworking thank you
👍
I’m worried that the vibrations from the saw could cause the bracket that holds it in place to come loose, with dangerous results.
Maybe an excenter lever to hold the saw in place would be better (and faster). Of course that lever would need to be locked, when in hold position, but that's not too difficult to ensure.
It's just one thought 🤔
I haven't had any problems so far, but I'll keep an eye out
make a video HOW YOU Made a table
You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth
Ván ép của Mỹ rất tốt,còn của việt nam thì dùng ván cứ bị bong tróc lớp ngoài cùng,rất tệ
Awesome, thanks for your sharing
