We start the B train ride at Frankford Transportation Center and ride all the way to 69th Street Transportation Center. I decided to finally do a ride on the A/B trains and of course, the first one out of Frankford is a B-train.
So this is the last week of the Market-Frankford A/B service as when the February 2020 schedule changes come to be, all rush-hour trains will make all stops.
Route: Market-Frankford Line B train to 69th Street
Vehicle: 1999 ADTranz M4 #1128
Recorded with a Canon SX710 HS

Watch in 1080p/60fps - Auta a dopravní prostředky
From 26:18 until 27:09 is beautiful and a little frightening. Its like going through outer space and watching the station slowly appear.
Hey that’s interesting, it reminds me of the end of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, when the spaceship finally makes it to the destination.
When we were kids we'd ride from end to end, playing a game where we'd run out the door, take a free transfer from the machine, and run back, the goal being getting one from each station, without missing a train.
They had transfers?. I've always wanted to know how transfers then worked. Like tokens or paper?.
Right but now septa got key card y'all funny as silly and dilly omg
Wheeee....its a fun ride!...Im new to Philly, so this instructional
I have both local, and A/B skip-stop service in my notebook.
As a senior this ride is free looks nice
Nice video
fastest Rapid transit ride on the East Coast.
All thanks to early implementation of CBTC, plus re-radiusing of system curves.
Back in the day, when Almond Joy cars DIDN'T HVAE graffiti, the curves were much sharper and screechier, 2nd St. the worst.
Wonder when Septa will Replace the Broad street cars and M4 Cars on MFL both are somewhat old Broad street i think is from the 80s ? and M4 Cars started roll in during the 90s i believe and the budd cars where retired i think late 90s
Tbh, they might not say until they're finished with that extension on the NHSL. And that will be a while
@@opencalf true they finally replaced the AEM 7s after god knows how many years so hopefully we'll hear something with in next decade lol
Hopefully, lol
Neither are going anywhere anytime soon.
what they gon do with the A B destination signs on the front?
They just won’t be used anymore. Like the multi-colored part of the signs on the Silverliner Vs that were meant to show the R labels.
@@DashTransit right septa got key card back than they didn't have septa key card they tokens and paper transfer
@@DashTransitI hope they brought it back for once!
