I purchased a pair of G3's - 3 years ago and they have been nothing short of fantastic as i have been using them say 3-4 times each week for 11 months of the year so i would say they have more than paid for themselves. I then purchased another pair in January 2018 as the G3's were then on sale and i picked them up for nearly half price..... what a bargain. My original pair finally decided to call it a day so i unwrapped the 2nd pair in December 2018 - much to my amazement - the strap gave way and came apart after 4 trips - tried contacting the retailer - totally unhelpful and borderline aggressive. Simms have contacted me directly so I'm waiting for a response..... will keep you posted on the outcome ..
How does the hardware handle the salt?
Man I hope you guys have changed your lace eyelets for 2016 Cus the ones you use cut the shit out of your laces! and that's no joke ! think you need to shop around for better eyelets !
I have been trying this sole without felt for about a year.
Im done.
Appareantly the waters I choose to wade have rocks that react like ice with this sole. Done with it..
Pac NW I advise felt, not this material used in these soles.
Thanks for the feedback. Studs are an option but not welcome everywhere.

Sittin here, pinched my self to make sure its not a dream.... its not.
Since this thread transpired, I have been shipped a new pair of G3 Guide boots, with felt soles!
Simms heard my complaint, responded like a pro and came through in the end to make the customer happy... and I couldn't be happier.
Simms fully has my business again - I swore Simms off in 2001/2 for not standing behind a pair of boots - Leather Guide Boots - that came apart (stitching) after 1 season. I was reluctantly talked in to getting this pair last year, but trusted my source on how well he liked the boot and the bottom sole of it.... I dont think he wades as much as he hikes so they worked out for him! I wade.
I am still blown away, checking these things out - Simms absolutely killed it here!!
I will be replacing my current pair of waders with a pair of Simms this fall/winter, no questions asked.

such bullshit. when simms redesigns products they only worry about one thing. How can we cheapen up this product but still make it look high quality so people will pay outrageous prices for them. These new guide boots are JUNK!
