Okay tech spits dope shit but i have to admit this time he got destroyed. the other guy talked about what tech said, so that proves he was actually freestyling. Good strategy.
He could have made that up.. where is the proof or video footage that he actually smacked him in front of his mom? If it happened he's lucky its a yte mom.. if solomon was Hispanic his mom would have shoved her chancla up techs a$$
If there was a 2nd round he could of came back But they kind of prematurely ended the battle None the less I'm pretty sure unless tech spit some ridiculous ass mind bending shit Iron Solomon would probably still win
Young hungry rapper shit. I love it. These are the moments that get frozen in time. Always wanna see and never gets old. Big up Iron Solomon and definitely big up Tech!
Ah man. I fuck with immortal. His tracks are dope no contest. Lyrics, message, style all real. His battle thing though, damn. Most of it was verses off his songs too. dang
On wax / studio albums Immortal Technique is the far superior emcee but in this battle Iron Solomon served him badly here. Immortal Tech and his crew of label mates were just being sore losers after this battle.
trust me when I was in high school all I did was listen to Immortal Technique I remember watching this battle when I was still a teenager and being stunned this battle represents to me a changing of the guard from rappers like Technique and Eyedea and Brother Ali who primarily made music and battled on the side to rappers like Solomon and Thesaurus and Illmac who battled full time and made music on the side also that “why you always talk about aborted fetuses!?” line was and is still hilarious and painfully accurate
Same bro this battle right here got me into battle rap. I searched on CZcams because I watched one of the documentaries made by technique, it said that he was a battle rapper. Instantly i looked for it, this is the only video i could find of his and he got smoked lol.
Damn Technique got scorched there, and just by 6 bars. Dag!! But that was one of his early days overzealous moments where he let his emotions get the best of him and paid for it. Aaron was quite the underestimated Jewish rapping opponent then huh? Classic underground rap Footage now.
Yeah but iron had his credibility stripped by mook.. his battle rap game hasn't been the same after and not as good.. think he had yo drop all the clever stuff cuz people could tell it was pre written .. once he goes off the dome you can see it isn't as hard as before...
@JOHNDOEX11 thats a bummer. I would love to see this thing start to finish. sounds like an absolute rout. i just love it when the overconfident favorite gets knocked the hell off his high horse by the newcomer with mad skills
@JOHNDOEX11 this is wayyyyyyy before madness. his name isn't even Iron Solomon yet in this battle. it's AM Boogie or somethin. Hey where can we find this whole battle though?
That was all pretty Amazing, and big ups to EO dub 4 speakin on how it's all about the lyrics not shittin on each other. Not that I don't enjoy a dope battle but it's a positive message they sendin nah mean nah mean?
Looking at him today, Tech has grown a lot. Good thing he isn't as impulsive anymore. "And now I stare in to the future with a spiritual flashlight Wondering who the fuck was me in a past life Bad diet, fuck raw, die young, fast life. Same as a crash flight that took off when the music died on your last night."
In this round, I think Immortal Technique brought it, but Solomon was just funnier. Sometimes, being funnier can win a battle. Props to both MCs though. They're both dope.
When you're freestyling it is inevitable that a line might come out twice. What's important is the impact and personal stuff. Iron spits that in every battle. He knows how to hit guys where it hurts and make them laugh at themselves they get they're ass handed so bad. Personally I don't think I've ever heard a freestyle without any recycled shit. The rappers "freestyling" on hot 97 are the worst offenders. Iron wins every battle i've ever seen him in.. UNTOUCHABLE
....respect to solomon...for even havin' the nuts to battle immortal tech....i hontestly would like to hear a mixtape with both them niggas in it....i think the shit would be mindblowin.
These hosts didn't have any vision. This is what Reed Dollaz, SMACK and Murda Mook and the OGs in this game be talking about. They were doing this and became legends doing it at a time when people weren't already paying attention to it anyway. You had the own hosts of the battles on stages discrediting the culture. Now everybody's watching. You had to be something special to get millions of views with this,Ppl coming for battle rap, ppl were coming to see they favorite MCs like platinum artists.
holy shit.....as someone whos been watching battles for 10 years i've never seen someone who is the favorite get OWNED so hard.....and I've got 2 Immortal Tech CD's sitting in my CD tower so don't tell me I'm biased lol
@thehumanshin If you stay one-minded like that you will like no other hip-hop than the hip-hop you heard from the golden era of rap. In my opinion he uses that aggression to capture the emotional side of a listener. That is a really good technique of getting your message across. Tupac has used that in several cases, MOST of Ice Cube's material is based off that excluding lyrics, Nas has experimented with it in many songs..HELL grandmaster flash's whole image ran with that. It's quite amazing.
@bob builder actually I can argue that every line was a rebuttal from Iron. And it was obviously off the top of the head because he stutters thinking about what to say. Immortal, however, used a line from one of his songs (the line about hijacking a plane and what not). Trust me I like Tech too but it's pretty naive to claim Iron Solomon was using writtens.
The thing is, Immortal's verse wasn't actually half bad. Iron is just clearly a better freestyler and as a virtual unknown, no one was expecting him to stick it to Tech that savagely.
Going second is easier in a rap battle. When you have another persons verse to feed off of, it gives you material. When you go first you only have what is of the top of your head.
Solomon definitely won, however it's all about the music, and Tech is lightyears beyond any battle rapper, Solomon included. It's why Tech stopped battling at the right time.
@joe14636 correction. Puerto Ricans are residents inhabiting the island of Puerto Rico, not a race. That's like saying Italians belong to the Italian race.
all you people sayin that this isn't the best tech moment and he's not a good rap battist are stupid he went up doing rap battles that's how he became famous he's known as one of the best and he's being more free here the key is to aggressive to beat your opponent
Okay tech spits dope shit but i have to admit this time he got destroyed. the other guy talked about what tech said, so that proves he was actually freestyling. Good strategy.
Danny Mac_H Town Yeah, like when Iron battled Murda Mook. Oh...wait...
Did Iron win?
Then why did you ask, can you not write?
Also a benefit of going last
hell ya
Technique instigates a battle, then he gets destroyed. You can see the humiliation in his face. I thought he was about to throw a punch at Solomon.
He does watch iron Solomon vs murder mook Mook literally put him on blast saying that immortal socks him in the face in front of his own mother lmfao
He could have made that up.. where is the proof or video footage that he actually smacked him in front of his mom? If it happened he's lucky its a yte mom.. if solomon was Hispanic his mom would have shoved her chancla up techs a$$
@@sal2417 kinda lame if that's true...Tech shoulda just took the L with grace
@@sal2417 Just goes to show how much Iron emasculated him, Tech played himself both in the battle n out of it..
I am a huge Tech fan but this is not his best moment.
dvall1000 He can't rap battle. I have found that out :)
If there was a 2nd round he could of came back
But they kind of prematurely ended the battle
None the less I'm pretty sure unless tech spit some ridiculous ass mind bending shit
Iron Solomon would probably still win
Agreed. But 3rd world is still my favorite song and album and he still my favorite artist.
Tech is a good battle rapper but his style is very aggressive and Iron just laughs that type of shit off
Young hungry rapper shit. I love it. These are the moments that get frozen in time. Always wanna see and never gets old. Big up Iron Solomon and definitely big up Tech!
He gon cry in the car.
Lil Ze...YUP!!! 😆😆😝😝😎👌👍
Technique just got murdered
Why is this dude sayin battling is a negative thing? It's hip hop...?
Cameron McCaffrey it is not to inspire people tho. You can inspire people with hip hop. But it’s not for that.
@Cameron McCaffrey 👏🏼👏🏼 wow
@Cameron McCaffrey and it's probably the purest form of hip-hop that dates back to Coke La Rock himself........ definitely a positive
@Cameron McCaffrey The thing is there are all types of angles you can go in a battle.
@Cameron McCaffrey I’m 2 years late but tech shouldn’t have been popping off with the battle shit if he was gonna be a sore loser lol
trust me when I was in high school all I did was listen to Immortal Technique I remember watching this battle when I was still a teenager and being stunned this battle represents to me a changing of the guard from rappers like Technique and Eyedea and Brother Ali who primarily made music and battled on the side to rappers like Solomon and Thesaurus and Illmac who battled full time and made music on the side also that “why you always talk about aborted fetuses!?” line was and is still hilarious and painfully accurate
Same bro this battle right here got me into battle rap. I searched on CZcams because I watched one of the documentaries made by technique, it said that he was a battle rapper. Instantly i looked for it, this is the only video i could find of his and he got smoked lol.
I'm 5yrs late but yeah i was obessed with Tech. & Iron with that fetus line. Lol Respect to both of them this was a good battle.
This clip right here got me into battle rap, I'm so glad for seeing this
I feel like I'm going to get robbed just watching this. Keep looking over my back and touching my gun lol
2 lines that rhyme, then; "How you gonna fuck ma' girl? That's yo' MOM!"
LAUGHED SO HARD.
did that really just happen? did they really just stop a battle cause iron solomon shit on him so hard
Lmao
Iron Solomon a top tier battle rapper.
Tech is ridiculous on wax, he got bars but he aint a battle rapper, simple as. He lost here
ScarzChosenspokesmen that's how he came up was in battle rap. doesn't matter how skilled he is he still is a battler
he legit freestyles, most battlers dont.
That's just how it is sometimes u win some u lose some. Don't matter who u r but there's always next time and keep ur head up high.
Iron Solomon killed him with that last line damn Tech should of not ask for that bonus round. WOW
2 of the greatest emcees go up...great battle
every 2 lines: "YO IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE" just in case you forgot
easiest shit Solomon ever did.
I like how Solomon just chillin in the back, he knows in his head he's about to say some mean shit.
Tech got smashed and it wasn't even close iron s. Made him loom like an amateur
Tech started some shit then lost the battle...kinda embarassing
IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE STANS ALL OVER
this is the last time you're ever gonna see that.......famous last words considering how big Battle Rap is now.
And those are his greatest tracks.
Immoral Techgeek got destroyed on his own home state, lmao!
You obviously don’t know who Iron Solomon is! NYC battle legend.
when I clicked on the video, I expected Immortal Technique to win, but he got killed...damn
Dam that was good props to the both
they both were dope
Immortal Technique finally found out he was just a MORTAL. Solomon Ripp'd that guy, nuff respect.
@JOHNDOEX11 thats a bummer. I would love to see this thing start to finish. sounds like an absolute rout. i just love it when the overconfident favorite gets knocked the hell off his high horse by the newcomer with mad skills
Iron solomon, chilled out till his turn. boy wrecked it.
Damn dude he had tech from the beginning plus the advantage of going 2nd
What song was techs verse from cause I heard it before
@JOHNDOEX11
this is wayyyyyyy before madness. his name isn't even Iron Solomon yet in this battle. it's AM Boogie or somethin. Hey where can we find this whole battle though?
This is the earliest video of him using the 5 mics line.
That was all pretty Amazing, and big ups to EO dub 4 speakin on how it's all about the lyrics not shittin on each other. Not that I don't enjoy a dope battle but it's a positive message they sendin nah mean nah mean?
This was in like '01. It was probably the first time Solomon used the 5 mics line.
Tech
What year did this battle take place?
every great rapper has he's day
A capella!
@slikdarelic lol. what year?
Looking at him today, Tech has grown a lot. Good thing he isn't as impulsive anymore.
"And now I stare in to the future with a spiritual flashlight
Wondering who the fuck was me in a past life
Bad diet, fuck raw, die young, fast life. Same as a crash flight
that took off when the music died on your last night."
The one before got them more loud than the abrupt ending
In this round, I think Immortal Technique brought it, but Solomon was just funnier. Sometimes, being funnier can win a battle. Props to both MCs though. They're both dope.
I would like to see the whole battle, and not just the last bit.
Iron took it here..Gotta give it to him in this one..Big PROPS to I.T. for not taking it serious...He knows its all in fun..Gave dude a prop after ...
Choose your battles carefully....THE ART OF WAR.
Thesaurus touched him nicely back in '05, though.
wow
and I love immortal techniques music, but wow
I completely agree and have said the same thing to people about Technique.
Although Solomon won, I still think Technique came nice with it. Dope battle.
....respect to solomon...for even havin' the nuts to battle immortal tech....i hontestly would like to hear a mixtape with both them niggas in it....i think the shit would be mindblowin.
These hosts didn't have any vision. This is what Reed Dollaz, SMACK and Murda Mook and the OGs in this game be talking about. What were they talking about at the end? Dude was getting pissed or somethin?
Hahahaha they had to call a TKO on Immortal Technique and the judge was straight up "I don't even like that battle shit it's played out."
I love how Immortal basically wanted to grab a crowd win and Solomon snatched it from him without mercy . . . with a few sentences.
look at solomons hat he got that subway swag
Some rappers are beast writting others freestyling, here we ahve a perfect example.
@MinnesotaJDM howd it go down dude? why was imortal technique all mad dude? di iron kill em on the mic?
Nobody's perfect.
Solomon took that shit for real
solomon made an example of tech
Tech used his "freestyle" verse in the song "The Cause of Death".
I never knew this happend
holy shit.....as someone whos been watching battles for 10 years i've never seen someone who is the favorite get OWNED so hard.....and I've got 2 Immortal Tech CD's sitting in my CD tower so don't tell me I'm biased lol
He didn't lose, he got his "Ass handed to him cleverly" by "Iron".
When was this?
yoooooooooooooooooooo solomon went off on tech
I love it how Solomon only had to say like 3 lines to beat him :D
@thehumanshin If you stay one-minded like that you will like no other hip-hop than the hip-hop you heard from the golden era of rap. In my opinion he uses that aggression to capture the emotional side of a listener. That is a really good technique of getting your message across. Most was free, but some repetition. The "five mics in a gay orgy" line was used against Madness, but not sure if this came first.
ya yo as soon as i heard him say that i was like wow he said that shit before
couldve sworn this was a freestyle, not a compilation from revolutionary vol 2
Not dissing, just making a point. He's a funny ass dude. Completely fair in a battle.
Tech made the transition pretty well from battle rapper to rapper, some cant do it though.
Iron Solomon!!!.. Straight
Cool.
in an interview immortal technique did say he was more aggressive back then
how long ago was this?
that's kinda how Eminem would kill I.T
The thing is, Immortal's verse wasn't actually half bad. Iron is just clearly a better freestyler and as a virtual unknown, no one was expecting him to stick it to Tech that savagely.
lol and yet here you are!
Going second is easier in a rap battle. When you have another persons verse to feed off of, it gives you material. When you go first you only have what is of the top of your head.
"shit is played out" Smack URL, KOTD, etc isn't played out. LOL
Why were the hosts so uptight lol what was their problem?
Yup Solomon
@joe14636 "Ricans" are residents inhabiting the island of Puerto Rico, whether they are black, white, indian etc
Solomon definitely won, however it's all about the music, and Tech is lightyears beyond any battle rapper, Solomon included. It's why Tech stopped battling at the right time.
@Illestrapper Yeah, but who won ?
@joe14636 correction. Puerto Ricans are residents inhabiting the island of Puerto Rico, not a race. That's like saying Italians belong to the Italian race.
all you people sayin that this isn't the best tech moment and he's not a good rap battist are stupid he went up doing rap battles that's how he became famous he's known as one of the best and he's being more free here the key is to aggressive to beat your opponent
@anwaro Solomon's 5 mics/gay orgy line was recycled, but Immortal's "hijack a plane and fly it into your house..." was from his album.....
@vsimmz It's a shot at his song Dance with the Devil, I'd assume.
@soul4tran I know right. It;s like he's worried someone will get in trouble if the battle goes too long haha
@CelticsPanda yeah watch immortal tech vs eyedea that shit was crazy
@MinnesotaJDM yeah but why was he angry at the show?
Who was the host of this battle? Uncle Ben?
at the end what are they complaining/talking about?
