Yes this method of fabric flower making looks like a hit. I’m going to reward my self after I do some chores with making some Shabby Easter flowers. They will be a great addition to my holiday display.
Thanks for the tip on how to shabby up the fabric. I just throw the finished cuts in the washing machine, spent a bit of time ironing them before making the flowers. Great tip! Beautiful flowers to.

Hi Liz,
I can't stop watching, your so talented and making something beautiful out of bed sheets is a real skill. You touched my heart when you said that you had been poor wen you were little. I was the same. Here in the uk my mum would sing wen the ice cream seller came in his van because she couldn't afford it. She made clothes for my dad and did her best but she went without to feed us. But putting all the hardships aside I knew she loved us as I'm sure your parent/parents loved u. I'm gunna keep watching and sharing. Thankyou Liz x
+Marlene Richardson How sweet Marlene. Being poor can be a blessing in disguise. It builds character. My mom and grandma had to be creative to survive. I am blessed to have a faithful husband. In u.s. standard still poor but able to create and design for the joy if it.
Very pretty! Love the video
Thank you

Awesome, glad to inspire
I love your flowers. I also love using fat quarters. There seems to be a great variety of patterns and you can’t beat the price. Resourcefulness is key!
Yes, I wanted to encourage others to craft and not think they have to spend tons of money.
Just gorgeous! I love your beautiful flowers. You really inspired me to make some shabby flowers . I may make some for my daughter’s wedding . Thanks for sharing! ❤️

+Carole Ann Colca , Thank you, I am encouraged to do more tutorials when my subbies get inspired.
I purchased some items from your store which I adore! You have inspired me so much today. I want to start making a zillion flowers. I love the idea of raiding my linen closet, using fat quarters and upcycling fabric. I have a pink silk dress from the 70s that I have been saving only because the silk is so nice. Going to take it apart to use. Hope it works for me. Thank you so much.
+Annette McKitrick. I am so glad you are inspired. I enjoy the challenge of using what I have to craft. Pink silk sounds beautiful. Silk is so light and soft, it falls right into place using my hairpin method. Happy crafting.
these are pretty, thank you Liz, going to make a few of these for a couple of journals I am working on :)
Thank you. Happy crafting
:) always happy when crafting :)
‼️❤️💕❤️💕💕💕 love it💕❤️‼️
Thank you
I really like how these flowers look they are so pretty. I have used this technique before but instead of rolling the flower as you have I went around in circles on top of a piece of felt. I found this quite difficult so I will try making a flower this way. This tutorial is was to understand and follow Tfs, Janet
+janstok011 , Thank you, I did them the other way before too. I found it difficult. So, I do them Alaliz my way. Enjoy. Please email me your flower. Wouldn't it be great to do a video showcasing all my subscribers flowers. A short video or photos would be appreciated.
I really liked your video. You explain the directions very good. I love the flowers. They are simple but are very pretty. I can see that i will be making some of these for different projects. Thank you.
+Joyce Falgout you are welcome. Have fun crafting.
Love it
Thank you
i am in the process of watching all your videos, and want to say thank you for getting me thru a difficult time in my life, i find them calming and relaxing and you have inspired me to start crafting again and it has helped me greatly, some things i can even do while sitting in bed, in fact the left side is currently covered in lace and fabric, i am going to use up all the bits and pieces i have been collecting for years, love your flowers and everything else, looking forward to your other videos, thank you, barb
+barb thompson I am so glad your outlook is better. My heart is content that I have encouraged you. I was encouraged by other crafters videos on CZcams just as you. I find that crafting is healing. In fact because of my health and the adoption of a little boy I began a youtube channel. I thought I would be going to boutiques and found I couldn't. Now I enjoy designing, teaching and inspiring others.
a fat quart is 18x22", which is not half a yard. More like a quarter of a yard. Yes, flat sheets are good to use I have used them often.....all types of stuff dyes fabric or paper.
Fantastic ideas to share
Thank you, this was one of my first series and I am still learning

You can share photos with me in my group. Crafty Devotion Boutique on Facebook
I've shared your vids
+Jane Marg Hull cool, thank you
Thy are beautiful
Thanks 😊
Love the video, flowers are beautiful. Would you consider making the flowers out of denim material. I know there might be some denim that wouldn't be good for the shabby chic look but I just cut down a pair of old shorts it is then on but it's not that real thick then alert this is turning out pretty well but just think about it. I'm going to get back your video, I'm learning so much.
Hi pat, when others have asked about denim I do suggest this method. I am planning a new series of 5 minute tutorials on flower making. Denim would be a great one to do.
WOW...I ❤️❤️❤️ your truly shabby chic flowers, the way you demonstrated to us on how to make them was fantastic & now I can’t wait to get started making some. Anyway, I wanted to know if you could tell me how you tea dyed your sheets because they are much bigger items? Thanks so much & take care,
🎀🧩 Lily 🧩🎀
I cut them in pieces. Whatever size fits in your container.
Crafty Devotion Liz Benavides Thank you
Absolutely fabulous tutorial. Thank you! I do, however, wish that I could see how you attached it to a bottom tassle
One of the videos in the series shows it in detail.
Crafty Devotion Liz Benavides Could you please link it? I’m looking at your other videos, love them, but cannot find how the bow attaches to the base.

Love these tutorials! I am new to your channel and so pleased I found help with my flower making. I'd love to trade with you if you're interested. Thanks for sharing your talent
+Gina Wiseman. Welcome to my Channel. I am about 4 months old. Haha, creating these tutorials has made me more creative. I like to tell new subbies to take a look at my giveaway. czcams.com/video/Y2bOz5Z2mYg/video.html
I need very small flowers that I can use on cards and multi media projects. Got any tutorials on that? You do a great job with your flowers.
These can be any size based on your fabric size. Maybe look at my ribbon flower.
At 42 seconds the top layer is folded. Big layer is white, the folded layer is purple/pink, then pink button in the middle.
Ok, will get back in a bit.
Try a little shabby chic. czcams.com/video/occy4Cc-V1I/video.html
Ok. Thank you so much!! I'm going to email you some pictures soon of some flowers I made thanks to your tutorials! :0))) I hope you like them!
Thank you, I also have an active Facebook group. Crafty Devotion Boutique.
Liz, I am also new to your channel. I love these. I saw you nadene a wreath with them. But what else do you do them them? I have used small shabby flowers on barrettes. ???
+Terri's Angels Hi, welcome toy channel. I also attach a hair pin to them and use them when I wrap gifts. That way they can pin it on a basket Or on their hair. They are useful for any project. I also attach a ribbon to them and wrap them around a vase.
🎉💃🏼😍💗👍
I have a couple of fitted bottom sheets that wore out. You would just cut the corners off and use the rest
Yes you could, give them an extra cleaning and go for it.
You can also use yellow and purple onion skins to dye fabric.
I need to dye something soon. I will think about that. Thanks
@@CraftyDevotion , I'm a quilter & went to a guild meeting and learned this. It works very well on wool fabric. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it worked for you.
Hi Liz, New Subscriber here ! Beautiful technique , thank you for sharing it. I am looking forward to see more of your tutorials. 💕💕 (BTW i clicked on the link for the Destash/Kit and it doesn't work)
