I felt very emotional just by watching this clip. What more can the audience feel watching it live
Director Kim has magic hands ... Tearing up while watching the rehearsal ...plus the prima ballerina is amazing
One of the reason for giving the full emotions on rehearsal is not only because of the director demands it but because if you don't, you'll develop a habit and it will show on the actual performance which is a big NO.

Wow directing the danceand orchestra. She is a genius.
Director Kim looked so happy and sweet for a few moments! To be honest, if I'd have had a musical director like her, I'd have pursued musicals professionally. Too bad mine was a complete bitch who only cared about money and status. And the ballerina was a whole class act! OMG she could give TV actors a run for their money with that ability to express emotions.
I really liked her arc with the show.. sad it’s coming to and end but glad they were able to highlight the musicals
even while going back and forth reading the subtitles I felt the emotion.

What's the full backstory of Erik's parents and childhood? I Googled everywhere and couldn't find it
Well depends on which version of the story you look at. This musical I believe follows Yeston and Kopit's version. A 1990 movie adaptation of Y and K's musical was made and is up on YT in two parts...just search up "The Phantom of the Opera (1990) - Charles Dance - Part 1/2 (HQ!)"
Then there is the Susan Kay version where the novel begins pre his birth onward.

I think Director Kim is also handling both musical, but I’m not 100% sure but if she’s also the director for Marie Antoinette, Doyoung probably met her already. :)
