This song breaks my heart it reminds me of the bitter years of the struggle when the brave young men and women took up arms to fight for the liberation of our country. For those who don't know Zimbabwe also contributed to our freedom. May the spirit of our fallen heroes rest in power. The price they paid was to great💔. How sad only few are enjoying the freedom they fought for...
"Pamberi pamberi pamberi Pamberi pamberi neChimurenga Pamberi ne hondo Ne hondo hondo..." Thank you so much to ZAPU, ZANU and the people of Zimbabwe for the role you played in our struggle for liberation. When the Second Chimurenga ended in 1980 and you finally won your independence from the Smithian regime, you could have chosen to focus on your own development. Instead, you and other frontline states continued to stand beside us, to fight with us, at the expense of your own stability. Even when SADF was bombing your people, you refused to abandon us. I was born into democracy because of you. Ndinotenda, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. Maita basa 🙏🏾 Pamberi ne hondo!
The ANC changed the lyrics to "Phambili nge Chimurenga/Phambili nge hondo" to reflect the language use in South Africa. But the original song is in Shona and it says "Pamberi ne Chimurenga/Pamberi ne hondo". The statements mean the same thing in Shona and in isiZulu.
@@malaikamahlatsi5373 Thanks for this!!! Many years ago, yes, was a little sauced in sandton somewhere and started singing the SA version of this song, and a friend of mine form Zim was like: "how do you know about Chimurenga"? i told who I used to be and he was surprised.
Such Songs get me so emotional,,, I imagine the sacrifices to the point of loosing their lives that our fallen sung and unsung heroes had to make to get me the freedom I am enjoying now. For that, I am eternally grateful...

My father a Zipra Zimbabwe fought with Chris Hani he remembers him vividly. Those where bad boys under Moffat Hadebe.Izinja zegame. The original gangster
My son was detained for 5hrs at the airport once. Just so I would go to the cops and they would drive me to him. But it was a trap to lead me to sign a NDA. I refused to get in y the cop car. I called 911 to get medical care. Driven to hospital and get treatment since my ex is being kept away to torture me. That is why I got the video - "You are not that strong". It is intentional medical deprivation to make me give in and sign an NDA. I have just figured out if the cops are that messed up, the doctors are too and the drug store, they may make me go to emergency to trap me there to sign a NDA. I know that because my last prescription I had to go to emergency. My doctor wouldn't see me and the pharmacists had suggested that weeks ago. But I made sure to leave my phone so nobody knew I was there until I came back. The pharmacist found out then. It was too late to trap me. This time they know. If I sign anything, I was under duress. They want me to go to hospital.

There are no "real artists" for this revolutionary song. It is not a studio production. It is battle chant.
