Pune police on Thursday initiated action against Puja Khedkar, a 2022 batch probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, who hit the headlines due to allegations of “exceeding her authority”. It has been learnt that an inquiry will be conducted on the use of a beacon on the Audi car used by Puja and action will be taken under the Motor Vehicle Rules Act. There is a fine of Rs 21,000 for non-observance of traffic rules on the car used by Khedkar.
Pune Police senior officer Shafil Pathan said, “We will take action as per the Motor Vehicle Act. There are 21 challans pending on that car… We will send a notice on WhatsApp and try to contact them… It is illegal to write Maharashtra Government in a private car. We have not found that car.”

There are so many taking the benefits of reservation. Almost 50% of people who used SC ST OBC are fake. There is a scheme for poor sc st to take coaching for free but almost all rich sc st use that

Entire ancient and inefficient bureaucratic system needs huge reforms from its candidate selection process to public service delivery. We the people can remove corrupt incompetent politicians through democratic elections. But corrupt incompetent UPSC officers cannot be removed and have lack of accountability to the public.

@@sinndoss Oh I heard about her name regularly on the news many years ago and then all of a sudden, no mentions at all. What is her current status in government? I am sure she is still in government role enjoying all the luxury, perks, benefits but in a role away from limelight. Most probably in a government role outside India otherwise her name would have been regularly mentioned in our media if she was still in India.

She has managed to become Indian ambassador to Cambodia. Her family is very closely connected to the present case you are discussing.

The lady should be dismissed. During probation any misbehaviour such as mocking up the rules should be viewed seriously and there is no bar for dismissing her.

Inquiry should made with the whole chain. So many people helped her to become IAS on every step. They should be held accountable too.
They will claim that their high income is from agriculture, which is not taxable and varies annually , allowing them to justify their qualification for OBC non-creamy layer status despite an annual income of ₹40 crore. Regarding the fake medical test, it is more an issue with the doctor and the officers who verified her eligibility.
Agriculture income is also taxable when you have any other income from any source
If income is from agriculture still it is an income. It is only not taxable, but it needs to be shown as income for all applications

Agricultural income is an income. Simple as that. And you have to declare all the family income from all the sources in order to be eligible for non-creamy layer certificate.

Transfer is not punishment. In fact it contains some benefits as travel allowance and also eligible for some priority accommodation and some other benefits.

UPSC does not check eligibility and leaves this responsibility to the department for which candidate is seleced.

There is a need to reform UPSC selection process. every single paper in India is leaked. What is Govt. doing ?

Spposed, if Puja Kedhkar completed her IAS training as a probationer and her service of IAS is confirmed during the time of enquiry or before the report of one man enquiry is submit than will the central Govt. terminate her service or not even after she complete her training?. Also, why Maharashtra led Eknath Shinde Govt. still didn't file FIR in regards of forged documents of OBC/EBC and medical certificate of PWD of Puja Khedkar and waiting for the report of enquiry submission form by the central Govt. because OBC/EBC and medical certificate of PWD are issues by administrator of the state of Maharashtra Govt.
