Women’s sports have come such a long way and the talent is great to watch who thought Botswana would be so good I don’t watch WNBA but I like watching women’s college basketball when I was in high school as far as I can remember there were no girls sports they played a powderpuff football game once a year juniors against seniors and both years our class won there were some amazing athletes among them
The playing field was pathetic. Reminds me when toured with the king and his court in 1993 we played in some surfaces not conducive to real softball which we Eddie feigner seldom played . For high level cup softball these field are a joke
I am ashamed and embarrassed that the "World Cup" decided it was ok for premier elite athletes to play a globally recognized competitive sport on a slapped together little league soccer field. Absolutely and entirely unacceptable. Every single D1 college softball facility in the US is 1000% better than this. I won't even begin to list the possible injuries that can be caused by a field like this.
Wish the Americans girls had enough pride in their heart's to sing the National Anthem but nope they have no pride why do they have USA on their shirts
Until the team uniforms are issued by the Department of Defense, singing the anthem isn't required. I wrestled for three years in college without ever even lining up for the anthem because I was usually the first wrestler to compete. The former Army NCO who was my coach never said a word.
@@roberthudson1959 that does not matter if they want to represent the The United States of America they should want to sing it no one should have to tell them to do it but they don't want to sing I'm surprised they don't put the flag on the ground and kneel and turn their back to it like most pro sports team's do I'm sick of people turning against the greatest country on earth before the socialist nazi demorats took over let all these American hateing people move out of the country then let them act that way in another country and see what happens to them back in the 60s when I played we were proud to sing the National Anthem
Could they not spring for these ladies to have an actual softball field to play on?
Not with only 12 people watching in the stands and half of that is the production crew.

in most countries the sport is so small that there are no real fields unfortunately

Country versus country is something the world should be moving away from. There are better ways to compete without using borders to define teams.
