So surprised to discover this tribute! I was Dr. Paul Krogh's Surgical Assistant in this video when Branemark came to our office to place the first implants in this country. It was a great experience and I remember him being a very kind and unbelievably intelligent man.
As a surgeon who had the opportunity to work side by side with this extraordinary human being, I can tell you that he was not only a brilliant scientist and surgeon but an exceptionally kind and compassionate human being. His research and work has benefited and will continue to benefit human beings for generations to come. The quality of life of millions around the world have been enhance because of his foundational research and clinical trials. He treated his patients tenderly and it was awe inspiring to watch him operate. One could say that he operated at the molecular level and had a profoundly deep understanding of the cellular and bio-molecular aspects of healing response and tissue integration. His work completely revolutionized the disciplines of Stomatology and Dental Medicine. Sadly, he is under appreciated for his contribution. Many of today's young clinicians don't even know his name or know of his contribution to the discipline of Dentistry
