      Ya, just something to keep the bottoms ones in place while you install. blue loctite, tiny amount of putty, etc would do as well! Glad you got everything in! Appreciate the feedback!

      Hi! The install is very similar to the Veloster Turbo! For the 2018 Elantra GT Sport you will actually need this part to assure fitment: www.boombaracing.com/hyundai-kia-6mt-transmission-adapter/

    Can I use the oem shifter bushings so I can avoid taking my entire center console off

    • @BoombaRacing
      @BoombaRacing  Před 8 měsíci

      Hello, you are not required to use our bushings with your transmission adaptor but you will be in the area anyways to install the adaptor and installing the transmission bushings would be quite easy to include in the install.
      If you are still looking to decrease throw after installing the adaptor you can utilize our Veloster N Short Throw Shifter and the Shifter Base Bushings will be easy to install alongside that procedure. Hope this helps!

      My buddy installed the kit and center is in 3rd as u say. I really didn’t like it at all...
      Felt weird and like it wasn’t lined up correctly.. I guess it was installed correctly (my buddy knows his stuff so I’d find it hard to believe he messed up
      An instal)
      I may need some sort of stiffer bushing or some shit cause 5th has some side to side play in it .. and I always ease into gears;
      Following the H pattern rather than slamming thru. I’ll prolly hit up the group on FB and see if anyone else has had this issue.

    Why do you remove the rubber bumper ring ...? And do you make a custom shifter lever for other shift knobs...?

    • @BoombaRacing
      @BoombaRacing  Před 4 lety +3

      In order to move whole shift gate closer to the driver, as well removing that 'squishy' play feeling. Shifts become much more mechanical and precise.
