You can hear the gears turn in his head when asked where he thought he would go, realizing better not answer that and gives the funny but non-committing answer.
He’s showing major maturity with his answers. I’m excited to see how he grows as a player.

I’m shocked at how poised some of these kids are with media and in from of a mic. He’s so well spoken, with immediate & intelligent responses. Loved how he wouldn’t say a place other than third! Excited to watch his future.

Even if the pick was higher than his selection, he had a hell of a jump this season and my guess is the Ducks liked his potential. And of course, his reaction was just wholesome and raw genuine shock/excitement. Wish the kid luck. P.S: The new Ducks unis look pretty sick. Hot take, this version of the Mighty Duck beats the original.

Kinda reminds me of Paul Kariya in 93. I’m interested to see how he progresses in the Ducks system we need guys that can gell with Carlsson, Zegras, Mctavish and Guittier

I’m not surprised because Anaheim is one of the worst managed franchises in the league. That’s why we haven’t been in the playoffs for the last six years and I’ve been rebuilding for six years.
Demidov was a layup and they fumbled like always.
@@CraigCutler6 what’s funny is if they really wanted this player, they could’ve traded down for him and got a second pack or another player something. and then we turn around and trade up for a Norwegian defenseman. I just don’t know what the hell is going on with management, but they make it real hard to be a fan.
It takes years for a full re-build. Look at other teams who have done the same thing over the years. At least a half decade, usually a little bit more than that. Check out some of this kid's highlights. If he played his entire season the way he played his last twenty games he would have gone number two no doubt and it may have been a tossup between him and Celebrini. He is without question a late riser/bloomer but no joke, the kid has a high-end skill set with a very high ceiling. Also, Carlsson, McTavish, Mintyukov and more than a few other young players are looking very good. Not sure how there is any mismanagement at this point.
@@CraigCutler6 Demidov is a bit overrated by fans; they think he's on the same level as Michkov. And he’s not a Verbeek type of player.

Dude has all pressure on him now from the 50 ish fans anaheim has . If they was sure to draft him they are absolutely stupid to not have traded down Mtl wouldve offered nice assets + the 5th
