We join Mike Libecki, Freddie Wilkinson, and Cory Richards as they make their final bid for the top of Bertha's Tower. From their precariously high camp within striking distance of the summit, the team must forge a path through the hollow, jigsaw rock that bands the final section of climbing. Having come so far and battled not only the weather but also back-breaking logistics, they are determined to push on despite the ever-present danger of loose rock. Will they carve their names in climbing history with an Antarctic first ascent or be turned back short of their prize?

If we could somehow transplant the feelings and mindset of these guys into the brains of all those that worry, argue, and fight over petty things there would be peace on earth. As Jesus said "worry not about the things of this world"

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. A question about basic needs. It was said the expedition lasted 45 days. Do you go without bathing or washing your hair for 45 days? How do you handle the needs of urination and bowel movements? I've not seen that addressed in CZcams documentaries like this one. Thanks!

Yeah, that whole 'look how dangerous and scary this is, aren't we brave!' attitude is really grating after a while.
@@purplemonkeyelephant noticed that immediately after they were claiming how detrimental a fall would be. They'd fall a couple feet then the 1000's of $ of trad gear they have would do it's job and that'd be that, no different to climbing at your local crag

Yea man Antarctica isn't very cool huh. So populated and man that climbing looked so safe! Only had to hit about every outcropping flake their clipping their lives to with hammers to make sure they would snap and fall to their deaths. Maybe you should be a little more kowabunga...this video was amazing
