Guests like these schools should be playing such shows in TV rooms over the weekends, it’s more than hard questions this is school. Lots of love Amos ❤
Watching this talk show for free feels like cheating. Thank you Wekesa and Simon.
Thank you! -> *Solomon
Couldn't be put any better ❤
I met Amos in Berlin ITB some years ago we had a deep discussion about our marketing strategy and I was impressed, among all the stands at the ITB Uganda was the worst compared to Rwanda Burundi and other poor nations respectively, those UTB guys all they could do would go and meet investors away from the uganda stand meaning they was only marketing their own lodges not uganda as country it was so frustrating. The uganda companies with their representatives didn’t know how to market their products, they couldn’t not speak fluently in a nutshell Market vendors in Owino are good at marketing their products than these tourism guys who come to Germany every year all they do is print flyers and wear bikoyi and hire a few Ugandans to come and dance mazina maganda just kusasamaza and call it a day. What wekesa did on his stall he hired bazungu who speak germany and other languages to do the marketing of uganda lodges and great safaris the others didn’t want to pay us to who speak germany because they thought they were wasting money. Government should make international language compulsory in schools we are to benefit in the industry.
I almost shed tears watching this interview.
It is painful to watch 😢
The best way to get all Amos’ knowledge is to set the camera , say good morning and then let him speak . His knowledge 👌👌👌👌
Well-spoken ❤
This was just a fantastic display of passionate leadership, thorough knowledge of the tourism industry and its potential to help Uganda flourish again. Great job Mr. Wekesa. We are indeed sleeping!
People who understand the game of Tourism like Amos are suppose to be appointed to UTB
He may not be appointed because he may not want to be but they should listen to him , support him & put into action his advice. He’s an authority
I pray that he won't be appointed because if they do appoint him, they we may not hear his voice about tourism again.they will make him to keep quite and tourism will even turn worse industry.i pray he doesn't accept any post in government.let him remain the way he is
Exactly
But can they make an impact without top leadership interest. Imagine Obote was Funding the only Coffee Marketing Bord with over 1m USD
Ministry infact
I feel am not worthy any comment but if only we had ears we would listen Amos well done your are gifted in that are ....。。。
One of the greatest positive, provoking, well thought after commentary on Uganda! Thank you Sir Amos. A lot of Ugandans are fleeing the country because it has failed to work for them and then you hear about all this Greatness that is Uganda and you cannot help it but feel sad and blue wondering what it could all have been had we the right selfless patriotic leaders. Its very painful, but not lost. We can still make a comeback. Very hard but not impossible. Thanks Sir Amos once again. Many blessings.
Thank you for sharing this insightful piece of information. At one point, I momentarily forgot that I was watching Hard Questions. However, it soon became evident that I wasn't alone in this realization, as Solomon was also beaming with smiles. His serious demeanor, typically reserved for Hard Questions, had disappeared. This experience felt like a masterclass in history and economics combined, making it a truly remarkable and enlightening piece.
This guy Amos is well versed with the potential we have in the tourism sector, I wish museveni could hire him.
I feel cheated as a Ugandan every time I listen to Amos. There's more to our country than is being portrayed. Thank you, Solomon, for continually enlightening us.
This guy is so good and well informed
Give @Amos Wekesa the Job and Tools to market Uganda already. Hard Facts to ponder on 💯. Thanks @Sserwanja as always🎉
Never been mind blown about the potential of my country and yet also saddenned by the fact that no one might listen.
The powers that be do not care!!
Wow that's was Soo heartbreaking 😢😢
This is probably the most informative 49 minutes I've listened to someone talk about Uganda. Such knowledge. Damn Amos!!!!!
I don't know how I can meet Amos, coz he has given us facts about uganda and people are not taking it serious
Woow, we are blessed as a country.
Thank you Mr Wakesa and Solomon
You're welcome, Wycliffe.
This is the best Minister of Tourism Uganda can ever have
Amos sets the scene with a birds eye view of the immense tourism opportunities in Uganda. For a way forward, please list, profile and pimp up the individual products he has highlighted. For instance, 1. Our colonial historical sites, 2. Cultural sites 3. Lake Victoria 4. Ssese Islands 5. Foods of Uganda 6. Mountains 7. River Nile 8. Gorillas 9. Sports personae 10. Indian expulsion memoirs 11. Birds of Uganda .etc etc .....the list is bottomless
He has the numbers and numbers never lie
This discussion should be put in schools to teach our children
Very insightful discussion, this is actually not the hard questions but the hard lessons that we should learn
Ohh My God this Mannn. He inspires me all the time ❤
Great video. Tourism supports all sectors, most especially conservation. Without protected areas, this country that's badly governed politically by the Greedy Barbarians and Savage Avengers would already be a desert. Tourism supports education. Bwindi areas in Kisoro District are a living example
Amos is Uganda, and Uganda is him. Amos Wekesa for president.
💯
Naye banange 😂
This gentleman Amos wekesa is a national treasure
We need a part 2 , 3 and so on .. This was stellar
absolutely
How am I seeing this interview just now? We need part 2 @AIIJ , I have learnt so much.
What a refreshing intelligent person .
Just to add on .
Look at how Rwanda has marketed its airline 4times to uk in a week.
Then connecting to other African countries too.
I Woke up today Soo depressed but getting this interview has been a great gift for me, great knowledge, Inspiration and Motivation from you Amos.
Solomon and your team thank you.
Please engage Bwana Amos again and again dearly.
You're welcome, Peter. Thanks for watching!
whenever i sit watch this guy Amos deep dig what he knows, i just sit to listen
This interview has shown me that we need an overhaul of the entire system. We are not strategic thinkers. Not only leaders but also the masses. We need to rethink.
I almost Cried Watching this
Amos got all we need but our leaders🙌
It's painful to watch
Such Educative piece of information.. It was such masterclass about history and economics
And with such beautiful insights nabanja 😂 is our Prime Minister. Such person's should have been in tourism government ministry.
More of these please. Loved it! 🙏🏾🫶🏾
Thus is so eye opening
I am sharing this video with Uganda airlines and everyone concerned in my circle.
This is lovely 😍
it's about leadership....
Mr Amos Wekesa ,so informed about our mother land Uganda 🇺🇬🙌🙏 we're blessed indeed
Amos is very knowledgeable
Thank you Amos for opening our eyes. Uganda needs intelligent people like you. Bagisu is proud of you. Our leaders really need to go back to the drawing board and find out where we lost it from as a nation.
Thank you so much for this. As a tourist enthusiast, I enjoyed every bit of this interview. Blessings AIIJ
Amos being my tourism mentor thanks a lot for being brave and become a voice to everyone in the tourism industry, talk of the business we gain from India totally nothing, transportation in Uganda, Ugandan security, I can say Uganda is only based on individual marketing of the the private tour operators. It’s no longer about poor governance it’s the worst opposition fueling the worst government for ever since the idi Amin regime. Talk of Afcon, with the threat of thieves from Kamapala city. Uganda will negatively gain shame from Afcon.
Thank you for hosting Amos
Ohhhhh wow Thanks Amos👏👏
Any serious Ugandan needs to watch this interview
Wekesa is so brilliant and has mastered the Tourism Sector
This is good. I wonder is Amos has written a book about this. I would love to buy one
He has done his part ❤❤
I love the way the statistics are just on his finger tips
Thumbs up for you Amos Wekesa❤❤❤
If we can only have many Amos' that love Uganda this way. Amos has Uganda at heart, on his lips and in his eyes. This is the meaning of being patriotic.
This is more educative than politics we engage in on a daily basis. I wish this message extends beyond the walls of AIIJ and NBS, be translated for all citizens.
We all need to hear this and fully embrace the wonders of the Pearl of Africa.
Thank Amos Wekesa for sharing your heart.
Let's distribute this video for sure
Amos Wekesa is a gem. Let's make him the Minister of Tourism.
I have always had a problem with what we study at school am happy to hear Amos talk about the importance of teaching our kids how important are our natural resources to our wellness especially in tourism and hospitality
This guy should be the minister of tourism
Listened and I feel for my country.
Domiciled here in Nashua, NH and the season of leaves on trees changing colour as they hibernate for winter is BIG tourism magnet for the State.
Yet +256 has all the beautiful weather and animals.
Wowwwwww🔥
wow,we really need this kind of mindset in this country!
Wow. We need such men mentoring and educating our next generation of business men and leaders. Such insights show that our government has its priorities misplaced that need to be realigned if we are to change our course as a country. Big Up Amos. Thank you Solomon.
Our amos wekesa ❤
Big up Amos
Let's share this interview up to the top bosses
Very articulate Mr Amos & I wish our perliament was full of Amos like, instead of so called honourables who can not even think.😢
Watched this whole video. And i can say my Uganda is a sleeping beauty! Kudos Amos
Great guy Amos Wekesa
Wow what an Interview, this was amazing thank you Solomon, thank you Amos- a true patriot.
So educative.
Thx Amos
Thanks for sharing such a good info though there's a lot govt institution representatives that are just sleeping in offices ...A lot awaits to be done on the government side
What a knowledgeable and passionate guy Amos is ! We just play and wish that the leadership acts
28:04 it’s about priorities. Our leaders for now don’t have that as a priority sadly . If you have something as a priority you can give it time and work it out . The priority the leadership has right now is to stop opposition
Wow, Amos Wekesa, you know Uganda like the back of your hand. This information is very educative and inspirational
This is incredible
True Amos ur already a tourism lecturer , how about Nbs started hosting such programs weekly and even include UTB or any tourism body and host as many trainings to both students and tour operators. Open air campaigns like at Kololo airstrip can be help i see value for future in him. He has great awareness yet the challenge we have is ignorance etc.
Mr. Serwanji plz do something
Epic!
Amos Wekesa is very informed guy, I wish to apprentice with him
Mr Amos Wekesa should be added to the Uganda Tourism Board for future planning.
Brilliant and informative, these ideas can surely develop our country and make us a wealthy and economically independent nation
Very impressive Uganda is Gold.
I wish u can write a book with all this information
Bring back him on the show again please,we need more from him
I just like this guy I don't know why......but thank u Mr Amos and Solomon.....
We need to hear more stuff like this Amos and Wakesa for a better future of our children. This is very impressive well researched! There is a need to act and to understudy other systems around the world that have been successful. Thanks guys!
*Amos and Solomon... You're welcome. I'm very happy that you like it... thanks for the comment!
I have smiled from the beginning to end.... where did everything go? Can we get back our glory?
A master class on international business. Thanks Amos and Sserwanja
So educative
I Literally put my work aside to first listen to this very informative piece. 👏🏾👏🏾
What happened to my country! Can't get enough of Amos's level of articulation 😊😊😊 Thanks for sharing with us. If uganda had P'pple like you....i enjoyed, learnt . Will checkout our game parks on my coming holiday 😊
Let's make use of Amos for that strategic thinking and involve the head of state to direct Min of Finance to champion the cause instead of hiking taxes to hurt the poor man in the village . Secondly, Solomon as media guru, please bring out this interview to the fore in form of features writing in series, say weekly.
So insightful. We need to rethink our priorities as a country.
This is amazing ,how do we not have this taught to us?
Thank you so much for this👏🏿
A summary of the key figures he mentions and a pointer listing of the strategies you point out, is an enough to do list for the next 5 gears.
Facts, numbers
Such an informative vid!
Consolidation of power is far more important than any rosy portrayal of tourism...
A soughtful, insightful piece to behold. Thank you Amos and Simon.
I accept that Uganda is under-marketed and the policies don't favour the tourism industry and most of the ministries responsible are paying a deaf ear to all that has been said.
*Solomon... I'm glad you found it insightful. Thanks for the comment.
Wow! Well informed
Wow. Thanks Amos
Thanks so much 🙏
