Always confessing the same sins is just normal. We all have vices and weak points. It would be problematic if we grew a new weak point every time we get better at something.
There is a useful tip that I can share on this topic: confession and start using ( don't know why) partial indulgences...Even more than general indulgence. And patience.
If you’re confessing the same sins week after week or month after month, etc, ask one of your Priests if he can give you spiritual direction. He will have the necessary tools to guide you to renounce the sin, grow spiritually and grow in virtue. It can be done, for sure, but be patient! Liken it to a scrawny person going to the gym once and thinking he can obtain mega muscles from that visit. It takes much time & effort, but it can be done! And remember our Lord, our Lady and all the Saints are in your corner and praying for you! 🙏🙏🙏
@@tippiergnome8471 Priests have heard it ALL. All they care about is getting that darkness off of your soul. Priests won’t judge you and they’re bound by the seal of Confession, so they’ll never reveal anything you say. If you feel uncomfortable in your Parish, go to another one for Confession. Praying for you 🙏
When I started weekly Confessions, my repeat sins reduced to now only 1, and that is usually once or twice a week. So yes, less sacramental grace allows unchecked behaviors.
People should take care of their souls like they care for their cars! A good car wash makes you feel good! A clean kitchen and house is a nice place to visit. Your soul is where God lives with you! Keep it tidy!😊❤
You know what should concern a Holy Priest during confession when the penetrant says fr " I don't need to confess" I am ok I am so good I have nothing to confess ..." That should concern the priest and moreover concern that person cause they are in denial God can't be fooled by anything remember that ❤
John gottman did a study of 500 married couples over a 20 yr span- and they found that 67% of all martial problem will never be fixed - because the couples would fight about the same things in there marriage all the time - this could I think this could implied into ones' vise's as well.
Only to God shall we all confess what good is it if you confess to a man as sinful as yourself REPENT AND BELIEVE THE TRUE GOSPEL READ YOUR HOLY SCRIPTURES AND AS THE FATHER THAT HE MAY SEND THE HOLY SPIRIT TO YOU AND THEN YOU WILL BE IN HIS KINGDOM BLESSINGS TO ALL
With that kind of logic, why go to a doctor when you're sick if God can heal you? After all, the doctor is a mortal man subject to sickness himself. Note: Jesus gave to men the power to forgive sin - John 20:22-23.
We confess our sins to the Priest as that’s what our God & Savior Jesus Christ wants. He exhorts through His Priests. They are in persona Christi when enacting Gods Sacraments. Jesus saves us baptized with The Holy Spirit & Holy Water from original sin. Sins committed after Baptism have to be confessed, we have to receive absolution & Penance to serve to be forgiven by God. That’s why He instituted the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). 2 Cor 5:18-20, Jn 20:21-23, Mt 9:8, 16:18-19, 18:17-18. If we die in mortal sin, we chose to be separated from God. He honors our choices for eternity. There’s no hope left. If we die in Venial sin, we have to be purged of it to enter Heaven, as nothing impure can enter. Purgatory is a complete cleansing of our souls on the way to Heaven. 1 Cor 3:15, Mt5:25-26, 1 Pet 3:18-20, 1 Jn 5:16-17, Jn 19:11, Rev 21:27, 2 Macc 12:43-46
First of all why they come to you to confess? Are you the one whom they sinned to? The Bible is clear that sinners must go to God directly to confess their sins and ask for forgiveness..I John 1:8-10

This message is an arrow of truth straight to the heart. Thank you Father.
Also doing an examination of conscience before it helps you to remember some sins that you wouldn’t have before doing it

Please pray about it and request your Parish Priest. God will help you.

Why do I need to go to you for absolution?
