Always confessing the same sins is just normal. We all have vices and weak points. It would be problematic if we grew a new weak point every time we get better at something.

There is a useful tip that I can share on this topic: confession and start using ( don't know why) partial indulgences...Even more than general indulgence. And patience.

If you’re confessing the same sins week after week or month after month, etc, ask one of your Priests if he can give you spiritual direction. He will have the necessary tools to guide you to renounce the sin, grow spiritually and grow in virtue. It can be done, for sure, but be patient! Liken it to a scrawny person going to the gym once and thinking he can obtain mega muscles from that visit. It takes much time & effort, but it can be done! And remember our Lord, our Lady and all the Saints are in your corner and praying for you! 🙏🙏🙏

With that kind of logic, why go to a doctor when you're sick if God can heal you? After all, the doctor is a mortal man subject to sickness himself. Note: Jesus gave to men the power to forgive sin - John 20:22-23.

We confess our sins to the Priest as that’s what our God & Savior Jesus Christ wants. He exhorts through His Priests. They are in persona Christi when enacting Gods Sacraments. Jesus saves us baptized with The Holy Spirit & Holy Water from original sin. Sins committed after Baptism have to be confessed, we have to receive absolution & Penance to serve to be forgiven by God. That’s why He instituted the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). 2 Cor 5:18-20, Jn 20:21-23, Mt 9:8, 16:18-19, 18:17-18.
If we die in mortal sin, we chose to be separated from God. He honors our choices for eternity. There’s no hope left.
If we die in Venial sin, we have to be purged of it to enter Heaven, as nothing impure can enter. Purgatory is a complete cleansing of our souls on the way to Heaven.
      1 Cor 3:15, Mt5:25-26, 1 Pet 3:18-20, 1 Jn 5:16-17, Jn 19:11, Rev 21:27, 2 Macc 12:43-46
