Great review. I agree about the metal shelving. I just got a new wine fridge and it has metal shelving and I don't like the clinking.

It never stops. I normally stick some door seal insulation on the racks so they don't clink. I'm picky about noise though. That might be to much for most people.

Did you not notice a chemical odor upon arrival. I've had mine for over a week and still can't get rid of the odor. I've used newspaper, baking soda and wiped down all surfaces with soap and water.

Hmm... I didn't get a single bit of chemical odor in my fridge. It smelled like the shelving. If I were you, I'd reach out to NewAir to see if they have any advice or ability to swap it out for one without a smell.

Funny that you mention the shelves. I felt that, as a wine channel, I had to describe the smell of something. I don't get a cut from the sales but I'm glad that they are going to give my viewers a discount.

Hard to say. The one I got from Newair is purring along. The 500 bottle fridge I got second hand (Wine Enthusiast model) lasted 10 years then the AC needed to be replaced.
