I'm so heated. That young lady with a child is so sweet and the fact that they treated her so ugly while with child. I've noticed that when I fly with my husband who serves in the military we're treated well. 🍬. But if I fly alone with our son, I've been treated very ugly by men in the airlines. From Ticketing, to security to stewardess (all men). The security was intimidating and was laughing at my reaction. I remember some security girl told him "you're going to make her cry that was mean." and he started laughing and said "I wanna see her cry, I bet she will. I want her to turn around." but I just put on my shoes and held my tears back. Women in general aren't treated well in public, I can only imagine being a woman of color! I mean I'm brown and still looked down upon but being black in America is something else. Power to them.
U said u r brown and seems abit surprise u were treated badly then u mention black people as f u r separately yourself from black people r u black or not
@@veronicarussell6361 I posted this comment a while back and I didn't think my words were confusing but let me further explain. I am not black. I always find this answer hard to answer because my answer is not a race its a nationality but still its not as simple as black and white. I am Mexican, but when filling out a census form or ANY application form where they ask race , mexican Americans have to put Caucasian and then also check the 'other' box and check Hispanic or Latin. Thats because the country of Mexico was invaded by Spain which is a European country so therefore on any form we have to check the 'Caucasian ' box. Anyway i'm brown in skin color but more on the lighter spectrum of it. Im tan. That being said, I cannot compare what I go through to what a black woman goes through because black women are the most unjustly treated human beings in America. Now this doesn't mean every single black woman experiences discrimination or mistreatment but there is a large number in society that are so it is enough to conclude that black women in America struggle more than white women. Am I part of a minority group? Yes. Yes indeed. Am I a woman of color? Yes, yes I am. Am I black? No, I am not. I'm sure there are African lineages in my ancestry if I look deep anough but I've never done a DNA test to fully conclude that. So thats my best answer to you. I hope this explained it well and I apologize for any confusion I created with my initial comment.

The irony is, it's AMERICAN airlines treating Americans like this. I am an attorney and also, I work for, and have for 16 years, a major carrier: NO pilot has the authority to override constitutional and or aviation law. We deplane passengers for threats associated with flight, but discriminatory violations alleged here, are illegal. Point blank. Pilots are not trained in customer care/service, many of them come straight out of the military with ptsd and many other psych disorders... they are only given physicals and no psych evals for this type of employment. Be sure to document, and report asap, if this type of unfortunate occurrence happens to you.

However; people are in gravest danger on flights where there are possibly mentally imbalanced pilots, who have not even been diagnosed, or who cannot be held responsible for some of their actions, which are not even deemed by their superiors, as infractions or violations, of passengers rights. Mr. Lynx apparently the CEO of the company heard both sides and dealt with the situation SOMEWHAT justly 😏 And I count the mistreatment of black folk BY black folk as well. No generalizations here
The fact that it was AMERICAN airlines makes this so ironic and profound of the racial problems black people are still dealing with in the 21st century
I work for American Airlines. All American Airlines employees were required to do extensive bias training as a result of Tamika Mallory’s experience. Tamika Mallory thank you for your activism. I love listening to what Tamika has to say; most recently your thoughts on the George Floyd murder. Tamika you are brilliant😃
I’m so sorry that this happened to my beautiful and intelligent sista’s. I’ve been in the airline industry for 25yrs and I know that pilots are looked at by the company as “air God’s!” I have been on a plane and it was 4 black flight attendants and the Captain would even look at us let alone brief us before we boarded. I was appalled!!! In the industry America has been called the “Air Nazis!” Lol I don’t know about that but y’all come on over to Delta and let us take care of people that take care of us. I had Dj Envy on my flight a few months ago. @djenvy @tamikamallory

I am very proud of how this was handled. Thank you for sharing and letting me know about this. This is timely, considering I've been looking forward to travel.
Western Airline is a black owned airline. Perhaps an open dialogue can be started with the owner Rex Rolle on how to expand the travel to the USA and other areas. It's time!
I understand the pilot having absolute power but this respect and responsibility must bear accountability with fairness and his actions need to be scrutinized and reviewed to hold him accountable

Amazing interview and being apart of the airline industry, I understand exactly what was being said and what's been done. But what I take from this interview is the knowledge of knowing the policy and understanding what's going on around you. And what people need to do is educate themselves and there children so if you're ever in a situation like this you would know what to do. Last but not least I am so proud to see men an women of colorful speak so well and carry themselves like you women an men suppose too. Good job parents and good job young adults/students. And go HARVARD.....THINK, Stay Bless, and Safe..
Nothing gives me more joy than to hear our fellow black bothers and sisters speak so eloquently. Well done for fighting for our rights and doing it with such black elegance. You both beautiful ladies and souls. Thanx black brothers supporting your sisters. Love y'all😊😊😊
Thank you for bringing attention to this. It’s so difficult for more people to stand up for people this happens too because I bet that most of the conversation happens away from the group. I would be so mad for you if this happened in front of me and I would have intervened directly or reported to airport management.
This is why it’s so important for everyone who encounters discrimination to file a complaint in writing. Don’t just let it slide.

This is why I stopped booking my flights with American Airlines over 10 years ago, I had a similar incident with a flight attendant.
The fact that it was AMERICAN airlines makes this so ironic and profound of the racial problems black people are still dealing with in the 21st century
Diddy got so much pull he can pick up the phone and call the CEO of a damn company. DAMN.
Persons buying tickets are paying the pilots read that again American Airlines
I work for American Airlines. All American Airlines employees were required to do extensive bias training as a result of Tamika Mallory’s experience. Tamika Mallory thank you for your activism. I love listening to what Tamika has to say; most recently your thoughts on the George Floyd murder. Tamika you are brilliant😃
Great interview, great to know 🙇🏾♀️
Wow!!! Powerful work.... We have to bring exposure to this!
I use to work for United myself, I truly don’t like AA and haven’t fly on them in a very long time and don’t plan on doing so ever , I love Delta my perps
Delta has had their problems as well
SHAUNAMARIE REYES COX ... they all do . Some worst then others.
I appreciate this interview!
I'm 19:39 mins in and I just realized Angela Yee is absent
she was ??
Lol
It wasn't until I read your comment that I realize she was absent. LOL.
good thing yee wasn't there she would have been lost with all that knowledge been thrown around. she's only good when it comes to sex talks.
I watched the whole interview and didn't even noticed her absence. Lol
I haven’t flown American in years wont do it
This was so needed!
Brianna is a breath of fresh air. So mild, well-spoken and articulate. Her intelligence and grace just radiates naturally and I love seeing people like her speak!
The only black-owned airline I knew of was Soul Plane😏

Love this interview.. seeing educated black women articulate themselves well and stand up for a cause
I had learned a lot from this interview. It’s feel beyond greatness for my people to take a stand. Especially my brothers and sisters in high positions.
I am very proud of how this was handled. Thank you for sharing and letting me know about this. This is timely, considering I've been looking forward to travel.
those two are beautiful
More of this please. Thank!
Very good interview... really enjoyed 2:30 question and the convo that followed about struggle of the idea of equality.
I bet black people won't be so quick to "cancel" Amerikkkan Airlines as they were to turn against Chrisette Michelle.
Truly Zambian of course they won’t. It’s not convenient enough
Yo Truly Zambian becareful when you make comments like that because white people like Nina A will see it as a alley-oop and dunk that shit
Black people still have yet to cancel R Kelly American Airlines is staying in business smh
But people in Zambia won't boycott white jesus
Truly Zambian Because they have the plantation mentality.
great interview
Loved this interview
This was a very productive, intelligent interview. I hope it doesn't fall on deaf ears :)

That was very refreshing, great segment. This interview deserves an award hands down, we’re living history in the making.
I am truly proud of these young ladies speaking our truth. Thank you for sharing.
We seriously need a Soul Plane ✈️
"Soul Plane" is needed...asap
This was amazing. AMAZING.
These intelligent conversations are what I'm interested in seeing more of. Keep the bar raised high.
Brianna used her speaking in such a proficient manner. She went in at 24:47, very well said!!
Awesome interview!!!
If there was ever a time to unify and stop the Gangbangin and shit and get on the same page, its now...
its such encounters that make me feel safe in Africa............
Its sad that people have to go through racial discrimaination todate!
hika hika love your hair!
It depends on where you are in Africa this happens a lot in South Africa and Arabic speaking countries like Saudi Arabia Algeria Morocco and Tunisia
lol that wheat talk tho
#wheatkey
Tanzania. yo welcome.
well you have a point. atleast in East Africa, we dont have that.
We need more people like her to not take a backside deal to help all people. THANK YOU!
good stuff, I love seeing our people speak out when there is injustice! that policy needs adjustment!
26:10 mysonne the realest 💯💯💯
When Mysonne said that's Harvard👊👊
Nice shots of your book. Go head my brotha! That is smart.
Tamika is so smart, she spoke out at the blm
put cameras on the ✈
DeMario Davis That aint gon do nun js like the police wit dem body cams they still get off on murder an u cud c the whole situation on cam, lmao dis shit sad bruh but like they say we hve to mke the change instead of marching and complainin to each otha. marching..
DeMario Davis white nurse gets roughed up by police and get 500,000$... shes donating a large portion of it to a program thats gonna make body cam morr accessible to the public ... this is sad we GOTTA rec everything now and creeps are gonna abuse thos but we REALLY need this as blacl ppl out here ! Last incident i had with police they tried to give me a court date. When i called the number on the card i told the person i need body cam footage of the conversation i had with the officer... all of a sudden no court date
Proud of the conversation and it's participants.
I bet Angela would've had a friend who got kicked off American Airlines
TheMilanW lmfao!!
Solution is to start our own airlines
Amazing interview and being apart of the airline industry, I understand exactly what was being said and what's been done. But what I take from this interview is the knowledge of knowing the policy and understanding what's going on around you. And what people need to do is educate themselves and there children so if you're ever in a situation like this you would know what to do. Last but not least I am so proud to see men an women of colorful speak so well and carry themselves like you women an men suppose too. Good job parents and good job young adults/students. And go HARVARD.....THINK, Stay Bless, and Safe..
Amazing ladies. Much respect!
Mysonne has got it!!!
Fight on a level playing field!
OMFG that second woman is GORGEOUS!
