We strive for a world of zero energy loss buildings
SIGA is a manufacturer, developer and distributor of air and windtight products for building construction.
With the realisation of the SIGA vision the global energy consumption could be reduced by 30%. Global warming is also the result of poorly insulated buildings. 40% of the global energy consumption must be spent for heating and cooling the indoor air. Thereby 10% is sufficient if buildings are properly sealed. However, to date, most of the heated or cooled indoor air escapes uselessly and uncontrolled from leaking roofs, walls, ceilings and floors.
SIGA, the Swiss family-owned company from Lucerne, produces an all-round leak-proof, energy-efficient building envelope made of membranes, sealing tapes and sealants. Heat and cold stay outside and only little energy is needed for cooling and heating.
"We strive for a world of zero energy loss buildings" is the vision of SIGA. 500 employees in 25 countries make their daily contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and thus to avert the climate catastrophe.
