    I bought a ‘23 low rider ST about 2 months ago as a beginner rider (1st bike) and I’m doing just fine. Like you said, just know your limitations and learn/grow with the bike

    I have a ST on order. Not super excited about like normal. Just decided my 21RGS is feeling to heavy to often. Nice to see the vids with riders expressing how much they enjoy riding this LR ST and how smooth it is. My first upgrade is get rid of all the bronze. Seems crazy to repaint a brand new gas tank. Really appreciate your ch. Thank you.

      Hey Richard, and congratulations on your new ST! The great thing about owning a new motorcycle is you’re able to mod it out and make it your own. Thank you very much for watching and Rod safe!

    I think anyone can adjust to whatever motorcycle they happen to purchase at any given time but that’s just my opinion. I never thought I would be coming on a bagger and imo they’re the easiest bikes to ride.
    I’d definitely love to have one ☝️
    Good video Ty

    I started off on a v4 sports bike. 750cc. I was 16 and NOT responsible. I lived to tell the tales, but I had a lot of close calls that could have been bad, but not because of size or power but young dumb decisions. I think it all comes down to the rider and their wrist control/temptation control. None of the Harley’s are real powerful/fast so I’d say other than they are too expensive for a beginner if and when they drop it.

    • @TyFromTennessee
      @TyFromTennessee  Před rokem +3

      Right on man. Thank goodness that you and I both lived past many of the dumb decisions of my youth! Yup, much of it is self-control and self-discipline. Take care Salty and thank you very much for watching!

    Good video as always! I think another consideration for the Low Rider ST as a first bike is that it doesn't have traction control or any other advanced assists that can keep a new rider from getting in over their head while they're still learning to smoothly manipulate the controls.

      @TyFromTennessee  Před rokem

      The Low rider is just as fast as a BMW r nine t if you look at the 0-60 and 1/4mile time. But with more torque available early. A beginner can easily handle a R nine t so I would imagine the low rider shouldn’t be a problem.

    I got my license and started on a dyna. Wife was mad I bought a bike and made me sell it. I convinced her to let me finally buy a bike and got a street glide. I only rode the dyna 4 tines around the neighborhood before I sold it. I feel like I might have went to big going right in to a touring bike. Thinking of going back to a soft tail like the low rider or possibly the st

    The Low Rider is a great looking bike. But, I'm not sure about it as a beginner bike. Seems like a beginner would want to start with an inexpensive small motorcycle to start out. Low investment to determine if they like riding. If they like riding, then upgrade to the next level bike as skill increases.

    no harley or sportsbike are good beginner bikes. yes u can learn on them but i met sportsbike riders and Harley rider that never rode anything else and they sucked.. a super moto, roller or naked bike are the best for learning neutral, leaning, and pushing in to corners and learning low speed maneuvres. at least in europe u have to master that
