Lost my thoroughbred gelding, Rebel Son, in December 2016 and I’m still tore up about it. He had just turned 30-years old. Most gentle, loving, barrel horse-turned ranch horse I’d ever had. I’m sorry you lost a good one, Dale, Radiator Ranch won’t be the same without ol Badger.

I had major anxiety because Boone is very seasoned. I think we're all sad with you Dale, nobody likes to lose an animal. Badger is on to the next one in the sky. ☹️

So sorry for your loss, losing a horse is a terrible thing to go through. My mare had the same run in, turns out she had eaten sand. Could have been in the feed bucket, or she could have simply just eaten scraps of hay off the ground. And even though you didn't want to be there, Badger was able to be in your comfort in his last moments.

Sadly I've had to put 2 of my beloved horses down over the years, my Big Buckskin, Snake Ace, and he was 33 and just couldn't get up on his feet again after being down 48+ hours. I cried and cried, hell I still still cry over him, he was the best horse I've ever ridden, and then my beautiful Sorrel cutting horse, Mister Mirada Glo. Matlock Rose trained him for me when Matlock was 80 years old a five time world champion cutting horse trainer, and told me to go get my chaps built because, "Ann you got something here"...He was almost 6 and I decided to finally have him gelded and a substitute Vet for my regular one Doc Cannon, botched his castration and I took Mirada all the way to A&M for treatment and they still couldn't save him, it was heartbreaking and a very sad day around the Fivehands horse farm for many long months after that happened. I'm still pissed off about that, what a disaster. And the worst thing about it was is that Vet was a graduate of A&M. The necropsie came back and he was totally at fault cutting too far up into the iningual gland causing an abscess to form cutting off his bowel function, the day after he cut him, I called that Vet and said he was in bad shape, he said, oh naahh Annette he's just sore, saddle him up and ride him... Sadly I was never able to ride him ever again. AND I did not put a saddle on that horse when he told me to, he was in so much pain. Damn it all to hell that stupid stupid damn Vet, I am still angry over that one. I've had many many good horses all living long long lives, got two here now that one is 27 Cinco born on my place as well as Chief, who is 19. Love love love my horses. Sorry for your loss Dale. ❤️🐎😔

So sorry to hear about Badger! It’s tough to lose any of them. I have two 30 yr old horses that I pray everyday they continue on. We lost a 36 yr old Arabian recently to stroke. It is horrible to watch. God Bless you Dale Brisby and your Radiator Ranch animals!!

I don't care how many horses I've had to put down between being a vet tech or working for a cutting trainer I bawl every single time. Had to put my 14 ye old little dog down yesterday have been crying and gutted since. Yes she lived the best life but sure do wish God would lend them to us for longer!!

I'm so sorry you lost a loving friend. Three is just to young. Crying over a family member is a kind gesture. It shows how much you loved them and what a kind man you are ol son. My chemo isn't working so well, so I'll make sure to find him and I'll take good care of him until you can again.

DB sorry for the loss man I your channel alot like every day lol👍 I had to put both of my ol rodeo horses down last year it was a hard year they were the last two colts that my Dad raised the mare had problems with her colt lost her and the baby and then the other one was 25 just ran out of days then to top that off i lost Momma to cancer three months later 3 hard days 3 good graves countless good memories but like you said ride on is the best thing you can do. Love your videos and I actually know someone that is on your channel i went to a bull riding clinic and he was one of the coaches Ol RQ haven’t seen him in years!!!

You scared me there for a minute. I told you if you ever wanted to put Boone out to pasture he can retire right here in MS. So very sorry about Badger. He was a bang up horse. I know that pain you are feeling right now. He is with the herd upstairs. All the sweet green grass, alfalfa hay all he can eat and let’s not forget those pellets. His coat is shiny and his hoofs never have to be shod. He is in God’s string now ❤️💋🐾🐾🐎🐂
