I'm new mc driver and I discovered this by my self yesterday while I was practicing. Now I see I was right. Sir you explained in minutes perfectly. Great, great video for new drivers like me. Thank you so much.
Fantastic video. Like the mention of 80 hours. That is an encouraging goal as my focus is to attain the skills of a motorman, police officer. Be something to be able to take the same instruction course as the police have.
2002drumsonly You can take the same training as the police do. It’s put on by advanced rider training every year in Victoria from about May 20 to June second. The head instructor is RYAN AUSTIN who is a 27 year motor crop.b
you articulated something I have never heard before: "to make a slow turn you must have drive to the rear wheel...." you didnt explain why, but with a little thought its perfectly logical when you take a curve in the road you slow down entering the curve, pick your outside inside outside line and as you exit the curve you apply throttle to stand the bike up and exit the curve. If you coast thru a curve in the road, as the bike slows down it will lean in more and turn tighter and tighter - you have to apply steady power to hold your line thru the curve ! If you think you will enter a parking lot while slowing down, coast thru a U turn and then stop as the turn is completed.. you are right - you WILL drop the bike If you try to coast thru a U turn the bike will be slowing down (no drive to the back wheel to hold the speed constant) all the way thru. If the handlebars are already locked to one side and the bike slows down you cannot turn them any tighter - you will drop the bike once you are thru the U turn you must apply more drive (let the clutch out further and throttle up) to stand the bike up straight and exit straight.. THEN you can stop if you want to. NICELY DONE!
good video on important aspect. however, the tourer versions have slimmer tyres and with raised handle bars tight turns are much easier, cannot bank same with 240 tires.
I also see that you, like other bikers who teach slow speed turns, are leaning the bike while trying to keep you body upright. I think that is a very important factor in slow turning,
@@jasonhess6900 I know, you would rather push your harley than ride a honda. 🤣 Yes, trying to to figure 8's on a goldwing probably would kill you if you think it is so tough to do on a harley. 🤣
Bruce Lee you must not understand what a Harley Davidson is in reality, It’s an 800lb sex toy. Women don’t cream their panties over bmw’s. Dude, if your bike doesn’t rumble, vibrate the parts lose, and make a shit load of noise, that women instinctively feel the need to show you their tits . So when BMW and Harley Davidson is sat side by side at the bar. The guy that rode in on the sex machine is the guy having all the fun
@@mofoshizknack LOL! My instructor who rode a Harley, he was 70, also says to keep a Harley safe you put a Goldwing cover over it. I can take a joke. But there is some truth to it. Who ever had a tattoo of Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki? I respect them all and their riders as riders and want everyone to be safe.
It’s all part of the great plan that you do not ride one. I love progressives, it’s all good, until your ideas are different. Save us Jesus, with your opinions

You are a excellent rider, to use a bike that size and make those turns are amazing sir, awesome video.
Concise information. Done in five minutes what takes others twenty minutes. Well done video.

EXCELLENT SUMMARY!!
Thank you.
With that helmet he looks like Barney Fife in the episode where he bought a bike. "Welcome to Checkpoint Chickey"

Very Good!
why not simply say "friction zone"???
GOOD VID! must've graduated from Jerry P university....what gear do you have to be in, what do u need the rear brake for?

Since most old harleys don’t have a tachometer? This is helpful?
yeah mine doesn't have one so it's helpfull af 👎
Sehr gut erklärt! 👍🇨🇭
👍👍👍
What do you mean by I lean I lean?
You didn't look like you were leaning.
Eye lead
When he says 1200 to 1700 RPM he is only talking about a Harley. Other bikes, like metric sport bikes, need much higher RPMS.
Oh, child's play. Trying doing small figure 8's with a goldwing 1500. No comparison.
Wouldn't be caught dead on a goldwing

My ultra limited does just fine doing these and its easy to do too.
@@jasonhess6900 My point exactly. Much easier to do on a harley than a goldwing. Takes for skill and balance. 😁
Harley Davidson? No Thank you.
