Hopefully, I do get to go to British Columbia, in the future. I don't remember when my (late) aunt took me to Prince George on a train, long ago, after my mom passed away. Hello Dwayne! Thank you for the concerns here with the wildfires. We managed to get a little bit of rain, about a heavy downpour recently. Fingers crossed that the fires will die down here and elsewhere around the world.
Great video Tim. Made the mistake of not eating before watching this. Between the seafood towers and all the street food at the night market, I had to run down to the kitchen afterwards to grab something to eat.
My favorite food is Uni. Yummy. I can get it at one of the sushi bars here in Bend Oregon, but it is $8 for two pieces of Uni nigiri. Quite the budget breaker! Thanks for the great video.

Hi Joe, yeah, the area I was in is called Richmond, with about 80% of the population being Asian. It is quite a unique experience. Yes, the drunken shrimp were fresh and raw. It was quite a surprise at how good they were.😋

Tim....my dad was born and raised in Beijing. He fought the Nips in 1937 in WW2. All his life he was nuts about Howard Johnson's Italian spaghetti and especially classical French dishes. He even flew my mom to Paris just to experience dinner. He had a good relationship with a chef in Michigan City to call and order Coq au Vin 24h in advance so it could marinate overnight. So I hope you get to more buffets like Narbonne 's.
Howard Johnsons is not very known nowadays, but I heard it was amazing. Would love to try all the classical dishes as well and no, I never did try the coq au vin … maybe next time

The night market is getting expensive every year and the foods are your average street fares. I spent 50 bucks and was still hungry. Better off hitting the casino buffet nearby. Still a great video Tim!

WOW Tim! Didn't know that there were that many Asians up there in Vancouver. Your seafood lunch was amazing! Never seen small snails like that before. Was the Drunken shrimp cooked? The towers of seafood was unbelievable. Thanks for posting and sharing these treasures with us.
Hi Joe, yeah, the area I was in is called Richmond, with about 80% of the population being Asian. It is quite a unique experience. Yes, the drunken shrimp were fresh and raw. It was quite a surprise at how good they were.😋
You been in a cave for the last 20 years Joe? LOL. Vancouver aka Hongcouver. now the border is open i will head up there soon. Great chinese and sushi in BC

Calvin, I might have found a delicatessen that maybe worthy of the standards that are found in Montreal or New York.... unfortunately, on an island here called Salt Spring Island...maybe it's worth a visit 😃
Tim....my dad was born and raised in Beijing. He fought the Nips in 1937 in WW2. All his life he was nuts about Howard Johnson's Italian spaghetti and especially classical French dishes. He even flew my mom to Paris just to experience dinner. He had a good relationship with a chef in Michigan City to call and order Coq au Vin 24h in advance so it could marinate overnight. So I hope you get to more buffets like Narbonne 's.
Howard Johnsons is not very known nowadays, but I heard it was amazing. Would love to try all the classical dishes as well and no, I never did try the coq au vin … maybe next time

Hello Tina! Thank you for the suggestion and this is such a good idea! Actually, I've been looking for a compact set for travel (back in 2020), but then...well, you know... :-D Will search on re-usable cutlery again. I think this is the least one can do.

The night market is getting expensive every year and the foods are your average street fares. I spent 50 bucks and was still hungry. Better off hitting the casino buffet nearby. Still a great video Tim!

I would say the iTofu pudding with the condiments that they offer is the most unique thing in the market, I have never seen anything like that here in LA.
