BR 146.2 for regional service has interesting traction sound and it was worth recording!!
I could record from the gangway door on the next carriage.

2004年に登場した、ドイツの近郊列車向け機関車。
ボンバルディアでは初期のIGBT搭載車ですが、変調がかなり独特です。
中空軸駆動の為か、客車側から録る限り駆動音は電車と変わらないくらい静かです。
時速140km/hで駆け抜けます。

Well it is literally a replica of a DB BR 146. Built by Bombardier in Germany but for use on American railroads.
@@Dan-sq4xk Actually it's a replica of DB BR101, not BR146 which is derived from BR101 as well. And BR101 is from AEG/ADtranz, not Bombardier luckily.

GTO cannot switch fast enough for Frequency Modulation (going from 1:02).
@@telefondose2803 the ET 423 series 1 also has that sound even though it relies on a GTO VVVF

@@or2kr While the 423 might have a similar sound, it doesn't switch that fast.
@@telefondose2803 eingesetzt wird die Direkte Selbstregelung, dabei ist die Pulsfrequenz in einem definierten Rahmen zufällig variabel. Für Phasenbausteine mit GTO-Thyristoren lassen sich diese Parameter, genau wie die Trägerfrequenz im Flash oder ROM des DSPs setzen.
