The Netherlands once colonized Indonesia for 350 years, even after we gained independence on August 17, 1945, the Netherlands came back, and tried to take over our newly independent country.
The Dutch returned to Indonesia and we knew it as the 'Dutch Military Aggression' which was divided into 2, namely the first Dutch Military Aggression and the second Dutch Military Aggression. The period of 1946-1949 was the most difficult period, even though our country had declared itself as an independent country.
