Took a stroll down to Heimie's Haberdashery in downtown St. Paul MN. Barber Dani took great care of me while providing a luxorious and relaxing straight razor shave experience.
Rounds of hot towels, lathering and a great face massage with pre-shave oil, the bristles became nice and softened to get the closest and best hot towel shave in the cities!

big smile on his face when she was giving him a facial massage after his shave. .all he needed to make it complete was her feeding him grapes. .looks very relaxing.
This is what's missing today. Even when I was a kid you would go to the barber and get a shave, haircut and a massage if you wanted it. Unfortunately, most "barbers" are now salons and the only shave you get is with hair clippers and their main goal is to get you in and out in a hurry. To me a barbershop is the male version of a spa and should be an experience.

Salons and barber shop are different. Example cosmetologists, salons, aren't legally allowed to use a straight razor. At least not in Kentucky. But barbers can't do nails, yet a cosmetologist can. It boils down to laws. But I agree that any cut, shave or other should be an experience

I remember growing up, going to the barber, I always felt cheated because he never used the razor around my ears or back of neck. But the first time he did, with the hot lather! Got a scalp massage and Witch Hazel, it was Heaven. I joined the Marines and was away for a while, came back home on leave, and found he had passed away, and there was nothing left but salons. This video reminds me of the last time I ever was pampered and made to feel clean shaven. UGH! Now I do my own hair.....well, shave my own head..lol

I admit this would put me to sleep too. I've seen videos of Italian barber shops where the whole thing is run like a military operation. The head barber is dressed like a doctor and preps the razor. Another is heating up freshly mixed shaving cream and a third is already massaging a hot towel on the customer's face to soften up the beard/mustache. The barber is never in a rush. He takes his time and ANNIHILATES every hair he can find. Even a Taliban beard doesn't stand a chance against him.
That woman relaxes me even more by just watching her. She has a natural talent. 👍

wow, I have watched tons of shaving videos over the years and I have never seen someone get cut up that bad. Give me an old turkish man any day of the week.
Well the guy had a good crop of pizza growing in his face plus the fucking mook hadn't shaved in months. No wonder he had bleeders all over his face. The best straight shaver in the world wouldn't have been able to avoid those.

To be honest, there are some of the times where even a skilled barber can have a few nicks... For example, I have some ingrown hair, some slight bump, some very very small pimples on my beard area, it will always get nicked. Even when I try doing it myself and going super slow and super gentle, still got a nick or 2.
On the total contrary. She is a real professional. Look at her wrist and arm movements. Look at her hands and fingers when she applied the cream and at the final facial massage. Not even a smear of cream on her shirt. A real pro..i would never hesitate for a bit to be her client as long as she is working.

I've had and seen many straight razor shaves where they stropped the razor to sharpen it and didn't use disposal blades. The laws in my state now no longer allow that for health reasons. Both male and female barbers -- they were both good. I've never had a closer shave. Cuts and nicks were very rare. Now, I shave with a straight razor when I'm not in a hurry. It's practically a lost art.

Some guys are commenting that she has cut him a few times . When you have a full beard like this guy has , you can get ingrown hairs and little pimples . These will be caught when you shave . Some guys have more problems with that than most . It's just one of those things . I don't think it is down to the female barber here .

Anthony Hings exactly. Growing a beard makes the skin area underneath a bit greasy and this leads to pimples and also the ingrown hairs you mentioned. She didnt do the best job which i think is just solely her experience but shes gotta learn it somehow and that is by doing it. Besides that she did a wonderful job and took good care of her customer.

dude you get ingrown hair when shaving not when leaving your beard... thats why with sensitive skin its good to have thin beard... much better for skin
