Hi my friend I know I have been on the missing list for a while but it's nice to be back
luckily my wife has just finished decorating aswell and I have wire wool, I was thinking to use it in a long exposure whilst setting fire to it and create 'fire circles' but my wife pointed out that I may set fire to the Newfoundland dog (they are a bit fuffy to be honest), so this is a great alternative that won't involve the RSPCA! You have great talanent to see things and create, keep up the good work Lee, thanks.
So look forward to your videos, Lee. I already have all the props on hand for this exercise as I’ve purchased the lights & mister based upon your previous videos. They are the BOMB! Will give this a go in the coming weeks. Love your simplicity and budget conscious style. Spreading the word to my other photography friends!

Hi Lee, It is a wonderful video. I already have the lights and mister. I also have the "Steel Wool Balls" as they are called in the USA. It is an old box of 35 to 40 years old. It was used to clean an outdoor grill. I will make it this week. Thank you

Trust me you will have hours of fun I am still messing around with this idea as I think there must be a way to make it easier
By the way, I failed miserably with the milk and acrylic paint. No nice colors like yours, just muddy. I will give it another try soon.@@LeeHallphotography

Great idea with the wool. I may try that this week, looks like fun. I ordered 2 of the misters you have and both were broken so I may stick to my spray bottle, hopefully will still get lots of waterdrops 😊

Been having issues with mice eating through the plastic water pipes in our cottage and have wrapped them in, guess what, steel wool and I have some spare - guess what I am going to be doing this week? I often have done this until I got blue ink on one of her tops lol. What I do now is go around the second hand shops and try and find some old curtains. And chop them up.

This video was great! I can't wait to try this one. I am still working on the oil and water photos as I am struggling a bit with the images not being sharp and making sure there is no darn dog hair in my mix. LOL
Hi my friend I know the feeling about the dog hair I have 4 dogs that seem to shred their all year lol.
Try putting your camera on a 2 second timer this should help you out a lot

@@LeeHallphotography ps... I've used a piece of string to the clamps that secure the background card. Then, by drawing it tighter, I can create a perfectly concave curve which then defracts the light even further. Try it.
PPS... I've also used much smaller clamps with string (due to Thier weight) at the top of the background card to get a uniform curve 👍

A lot of the time I use a 2 second timer when I do long exposure. .y hands really are not as steady as they was.
