I'd like to share how I land my quad. With practice, this is the safest and fastest way to land a quad in my opinion. Rolling allows you to see the ground more easily, especially if you have a higher camera tilt. I really hope that this would help many beginners out there. My first experience landing my quad was 4 years ago.. It took too much time for me to crash it 😅 Pardon my smol car, I used it as a landing spot reference.
PS: I've added subtitles that you can translate to your own native language. I hope this helps when reading the instructions and especially the tips.

You're joking right? Most decent pilots can land on a dime if they choose. They just know it's not necessary and sometimes it's fun to come in hot haha.

Dear sensei! your helpful videos make me a skilled pilot. but what I really can't do is fly sideways behind a fast-moving object (car, moto, boat, bike). I manage to fly sideways not much at all, then I lose speed / course / altitude or all at once. If I understand the question, the simple answer would be to start the strafing maneuver by yawing in the direction of the subject, then add roll to control flight path.
This is certainly one of the areas I still need to practice more. And practice on harder surfaces. I often fly on grassy spots, and sometimes just chucks the quad without care..
Moreover on a few hairy situations where I'm still high on adrenaline..

Anytime bro! Landing on cement is so much better to keep your quad clean 😅 If you have landing pads, your landing would be much better than in this video (i only used the screws for landing 😅)

On my first quad I used angle mode for takeoff and landing easier. But I was at a low camera angle.
Now I'm flying at about 30 degrees. Which makes flying with a little speed much easier. But gentle landings feel much more awkward now.

When I first started I just scoot right over the asphalt lol. Screws are lost, but I made sure I bought tons of them lmao
Oh yeah that's what I do. Especially for high angle, being able to see the ground when lining up to disarm is helpful. Landing in grass if possible also helps, gives more margin for error.

All things said and done if the hover point on your drone isnt pronounced it will be very difficult no matter how long have you been flying. The recommendation is apply some expo to your throttle point where your quad hovers you can do it in your radio or you can set it in BF as throttle mid and throttle expo. I usually have about 0.3-0.5 throttle expo and my throttle mid set to slow forward cruising point usually about 0.3 or 30% throttle. Once you have this in place hovering , hitting small gaps and landing will become far more easier.
I always switch to angle mode for landing 😉. I am still a noob regarding flying but I have great drone building skill

Not a bad video, but the edit to make it replay so many times was a but annoying and made the video drag, especially with that repetitive song. I don't need hype music watching a drone land in rewind over and over.
