I agree with MR Takeover, he plays with finesse....I think that’s one way of distinguishing him from so many of the others. He’s such a young player, he has a lot of time to craft his skills even more...although he’s probably one of a few who could play in the NBA even now. I’m not ranking Dior, because there’s a lot of good talent out there...but I believe in giving credit where it’s due. I’m certain Dior Johnson is a name we’ll be hearing about for many years.

I'm not going to criticize his decision, because he is making the move to play a game he loves, and many times people still prey upon the youth and their ( vulnerabilities and influence their decisions), using other material motives that play a major part of the development and notoriety these players get going through the recruiting process. If I was his father and/or serious guidance (counselor/mentor). I wouldn't push his mind into choosing a program that has not developed a lot of Point guards that have become great after playing college and the aspects in getting education at a program that fits his professional desires & his own educational interest. THATt talent is smooth but he has a feel(vision) for the game that you can only hope that you are blessed with. He should go where they use man to man principles, and him having the opportunity to play freely. Syracuse plays a lot of 2 in post/ 3 shooters-with the emphasis on passing inside/out. The dribble/drive is not a focal point of Boeheim's attack. At Illinois, you have the opportunity to showcase his driving intelligence, his shooting touch and he will receive a great satisfying education that will lead to a promising position and a successful career in the Arts/or SPORTS(media). Build long fruitful RELATIONSHIPS. THE NAME OF THE LORD(JEHOVAH) is a strong TOWER, The righteous RUN TO IT and are SAFE. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

You have to look at the competition he is playing against. (They are more white and immobile than bowling pins ) And in all honesty is playing against HS who are a league or two below him.
In real competition he would not get into the paint so easily for soft finger rolls.
And after he got into the paint. That stuff would be sent back by REAL BIGS
You don’t see any body defending the paint that is over 6’-3”
If he keeps playing against weak competition he will end up being a Div 2 player. Not a great passer. Too much ball heavy dribbler/ scorer.
Would like to see him play off the ball more.
