I was never really into the whole TV food shows until Anthony Bourdain, and FOB they look into the culture behind the food and the different perspectives of the people making it... The Sicily episode where he got arrested was a great he basically used the food to show these moron racist people that the food they where eating was not only not Sicilian but had African, and Arab influences
