    I love seeing a healthy vegan diet. The couple of vegans I know don’t balance nutrition and are often pretty under the weather. It’s really refreshing and eye opening for me to see people eat a vegan diet and still get all the nourishments they need. ❤️ happy for you and your baby!

    Hello, i am a 34 year old vegetarian from India. My parents grand parents and great grand parents are all vegetarian since birth. I have a 3.5 year old kid and i can understand the confusion you feel, am i eating enough etc. Can i suggest you add more grains to your diet than wheat(bread). Carbs i eat are rice, roti (wheat), and millets. Finger millet especially is a great source of protein, calcium and carbs . You can buy powdered finger millet make porridge out of it and drink it. Takes 2 minutes to make porridge. Finger millet porridge is the first food we introduce to the baby when he/she turns 6 months old. Doctors in India recommend Finger millet to people who cannot drink milk.

    I love that you mention the fact that it balances out over a span of time!! Cause I feel many people (including myself especially) obsess over eating “right” and get so caught up in the macros each day and it’s like NOBODY IS PERFECT! on top of that, I feel if you eat what your body is craving and you listen to it, you will get the nutrients you need!!

    I really appreciate this! I am considering switching to vegan for some health concerns and I am SO happy to see something that’s realistic and still looks enjoyable.

    I take those prenatals!!! They are amazing. I still take them because I'm breastfeeding. I took their calcium because they didn't have it in there. I'm vegan too. 💕

    So many people can’t absorb folic acid or absorb enough of it. My prenatal has methlyfolate because I know I’m one of those people. Thanks for sharing this!
    And about the bowel movements...maybe those people who were warning you (and I’ve got that warning too) were the people who don’t eat as healthy? Or plant based or give into their cravings all the time. But who knows. Everyone is different.

    super helpful video! its recommended to not take your supplements within an hour of drinking coffee as caffeine lessens the absorption of iron and some other nutrient, do whatever you want, just thought I'd say that!

      Nina Juliana that’s so interesting I never heard that. I’m pregnant too and luckily I take my prenatal hours after my coffee, I just instinctively take it in the afternoon after I’ve had quite a bit to eat for the day! 😊

    Thanks for sharing! Ps did you put purple toner in your hair?? Either way I love the color so much!

    • @FemmeHead
      @FemmeHead  Před 5 lety

      I use purple shampoo like once a week to keep the brassy color at bay. But sometimes I let it sit for a bit too long and get a purple streak for a few days haha.

    Have you read Real Food for Pregnancy? Lisa Hendrickson-Jack interviews the author Lily Nichols many times on the FertilityFriday podcast. I find that her recommendations are the most data based, and she’s all about nutrient-dense food for pregnancy and for those with gestational diabetes (in her first book). The only thought on your diet is the amount of grains is pretty high. I love grains too! But for women they aren’t the most nutrient-dense calories.Would love to hear your thoughts on Real Food for Pregnancy and the podcasts with FertilityFriday. Glad you’re growing beautifully!
