England's Grand Canyon, High Cup Nick in The North Pennines

How Do! Welcome back (if this isn't the first time) on this walk we went to discover one of England's greatest sight's, High Cup Nick. I really wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was and is one I will definitely re-visit!

I think the best view of High Cup Nick is from the Pennine Way route coming up from the other side that you started at. Yes we knew it was coming, but from the other direcetion it all opens up for you in one view, First visited in 1976 when I was 19 yrs old, on my South to North Pennine Way, last visited last year on a hike from Darlington via High Force, High Cup Nic then on to Hawdraw Falls, Cross Fell, Pendragon Castle, Keld, Reeth and Richmond where I caught a bus back to Darlington for my return coah trip to Essex in 2022. Love the area, but not likely to high it again due to age, so now I watch as many videos as possible to relive my memories. Thanks for Uploading this. Tony in Essex.

I did the fell race up there, we ran up the nick over the cliff top and down the way you came back to Duften , when i came over the summit i looked back over my shoulder and was blown away by the view of the nick.

It is better walked from cow green reservoir and following the pennies way to high cup, then you can walk along the side and back up the middle.
