    Vehicle list:
    1. Citroën U2:
The U23, or Type 23, was a light (2-ton) truck introduced by Citroën in 1935. Although the engine cowling and front body appeared similar to the Citroën Traction Avant's, the U23 had a conventional rear-wheel-drive layout. Production lasted through 1969, and approximately one million were produced.
The truck was powered by a 1911 cc four-cylinder petrol engine, with a 1767 cc four-cylinder Diesel engine made available in 1936.
    2. Saurer SGS 4500:
The Saurer SGS 4500 is a two-wheel drive truck, which was manufactured in the period 1942-1943. The vehicle was recently restored.
    3. OPEL BLITZ BETANKUNGSFAHRZEUG
The vehicle is designed as a mobile filling station.
    4. Opel Blitz
The Opel Blitz is a light truck of German manufacture. The first Opel Blitz came on the market in 1930 and was one of the most important trucks of the German army during the Second World War.
    5. Phänomen Granit 1500 A
The Phänomen Granit 1500 A had single wheel arrangement on all axles contrary to the Phänomen Granit 1500 S. Also typical were the massive wheel hubs and the gear on the front axle.
Beginning in 1944, the Phänomen Granit 1500 S/A had the Holzfahrerhaus - driver’s cab made of wood and fibreboard. The front mudguards were simplified and the rear mudguards were omitted. Towards the end of war, the spare wheel was relocated in front of the radiator.
    6. Opel Blitz 3.6-6700 A
In the early 1930s, the German company Opel AG produced a light and fast truck called Blitz, capable of carrying a large quantity of equipment (theoretically 3,100 kilograms of load) in spite of its low mass.
The German army is seduced by the performance of this vehicle, and launches the first orders to the company Opel. Various versions can be easily developed, and this truck rapidly emerges as the first transport vehicle in the German Army.
    8. OPEL BLITZ TANKLÖSCHFAHRZEUG
In 1942 the Luftwaffe ordered a large number of the fire extinguishing tankers TLF 15/43. So-called tank shots appeared on chassis from Henschel and Opel lorries with frames from the companies Metz and Magirus. The TLF 15/43 was used for combatting fires from air attacks on air strips, air bases and other Luftwaffe facilities.
    9. Tatra 92
The Tatra 92 was an army off-road truck model made by Czech manufacturer Tatra between 1937 and 1941. It was mainly used for transporting military cargo and personnel in Czech and later German armies, but also ambulance and field kitchen lorry versions were made. The significant part of the production batch was exported to Kingdom of Romania.
The vehicle had an air-cooled OHC V8 engine with 3981 cc rated to 54.5 kW (73.1 hp) power at 2500 rpm. The fuel consumption was up to 35 liters per 100 km. The car had 3 axles, of which both back axles were driven. It had 4 gears and 1 reverse gear. The truck chassis, based on the Tatra backbone chassis conception, has 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) empty weight. While the truck was rated for 2,000 kg (4,409 lb) payload. The Tatra 92 was capable of traveling at 65 km/h (40 mph) speed.
    10. Opel Blitz
    11. Steyr 640
The triple-axe cross-country model 640 was Steyrs best sold truck from 1937 till 1941. About 3800 vehicles were built, mainly as ambulance.
    12. Framo V501
This is a very authentic Framo V501 from 1941. It belonged to a fruit farmer who brought fresh fruit to Potsdam and Berlin every day. In May 1945, when the Russians were in front of Berlin, the Framo was lifted with a crane into a beet silo and hidden there until about 1950. It was then revived and drove every day to Potsdam until 1975, where it was parked with engine failure. The vehicle is still in its unique 1970s condition and will be seen running for the first time in nearly 50 years.
    13. Einheitsdiesel
The Einheitsdiesel (officially leichter geländegängiger Einheits-Lkw 2,5 t, or light standard off-road truck, 2.5 tonnes) is a standardised truck developed for the German Wehrmacht ahead of World War II. It was built until 1940 and used throughout the war.
    14. Scania WLS
The Scania Swap Loading System (with or without trailer) is a truck designed for the transport of standard or flatrack containers (without sides). The swap loading system is the total construction of a truck with a container frame, hooklift or truck-mounted crane. With the container frame and hooklift, a driver can independently pull loads onto the truck, push them onto the trailer or unload them.

I really think the six-wheelers with the big chunky tyres give off that aura of power and being able to do any job it was given, maybe not as much as the huge ‘famo’ half tracks but something similar.

Back in the 1960’s TV shows like “Combat” and in most war movies, everything German was made in America. 😉👍
