If you're not informed, you can't tell Ray Ma is Muslim because his ethnic group (Hui) looks like ethnic Han Chinese. However, all the others don't look Chinese but Caucasian because they're Uighurs, belonging to a Turkic ethnic group.

That's why they can still pass off as a Han in those chinese movies. There are other common folks Uyghurs you can see in the streets (esp in places like Kashgar or Tashkorgan) or even Tajik that look more Turkic than these actors/actresses which they would not look believable if they were acting as a Han Chinese (with Han Chinese names). And then there are some Han Chinese like Gao Weiguang and Hu Ge which I wonder whether they are really Han Chinese like they say or they have other admixture which they didn't know.
