    Hi Luie, Great reviews. Robert Sorby Tools are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. About 95% of my chisels and gouges are Robert Sorby. I have just bought a beading cutter head for my Sorby RS200KT which allows multiple heads on one handle and am really pleased with it. Take care Luie. Cheers, Huw

      Yes in the long run the better product last longer so it ends up less expensive...just the initial cost hurts sometimes when your on a budget...thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍

    New toys in workshop are always welcome 😎 I was thinking about this spliting tool. It is much better than diamond shape. Thanks for review, Luie 🤝👌

    Thanks Luie. The parting tool is on the wish list. First want to make one from a piece of tool steel from an old profile plane. Thanks for this review.

    A good review Luie , as you know I made my own beading tools. I have also been acquiring a few more Robert Sorby tools and as of late and a thin parting tool is on the list.
    Take care mate and stay safe, Bram

    Ooh, new toys Luie. Great review and remarks. Thanks bunches. Stay safe. -Mike

    Have the same beading tool .. It works well.. I prefer the easy beader tool by Sorby for small work for mostly placement and semi shape and then I use a skew to actually make the bead.

    Hi Luie. Would you happen to know if the parting tool is hardened? I made my own a few years back, and sometimes have to re-grind it 2-3 times on one project. . . depends on the timber. Love the demo.

    • @spindlesworkshop9744
      @spindlesworkshop9744  Před 4 lety

      It is marked as high speed steel..im guessing that it is hardened
