    The only video that shows actual drain on newer x5s.

    Thanx for posting this. With this help I found the outlet but my problem was a kink in the hose where it goes through the wing and the only way I could fix it was to pull the pipe through to next shoulder. Works a treat heavy rain last night not a drop inside brilliant.

    My driver-side drain hole was clogged. After locating the hole, it was very clear. I was expecting to see leaves and some muddy debris. I hot-clued a six-inch vinyl tube into a flexible plastic bottle after punching or drilling a hole in the cap. Filled it with some hot water and stuck the tube in the hole. At first, it didn't drain, and water accumulated. By working the tube back and forth, and squeezing and releasing the bottle, dirt started to get sucked back into the bottle. Did it for a few more seconds, and it cleared. Drained the remaining water into the hole and repeated to flush out any loose dirt that can cake up at the end of the drain tube where there's a flap-like plug. There is no need to remove internal panels, tires, or fender lining. Cleared the remaining holes with my "hand water pressure vacuum". and greased the tracks. I would recommend checking all the drain holes once/year. Water egress is terrible.

      You're a genius. I tried to do everything, watched a lot of videos, a lot, and nothing worked. Was about to disassemble everything until a reached your comment , give it a tried to your pressure vacuum and it worked like a charm. You should make a video on this. Thank you.

      @@xalexxsxe lol, glad it helped. When done, it can be repurposed as a self brake bleeder. I believe the vinyl hose can also fit over the bleeder screw. Just pump the brakes a few times, open the bleeder screw with a fixed wrench, and watch the old fluid flow into the bottle. Close the screw and repeat until all the dirty fluid is flushed. Don't forget to add fresh fluid as you go.

    Thank you for posting this. I have searched & searched & no one shows where it comes out. Just curious, were you able to run any "cord/line" from top side & get it to come out at the bottom? Was there the famous drain end on it that is like a "+" slots to keep bugs out? that's what usually won't let the dirt to go through.

    • @yurik1608

      Hello. From the top the tube has 4-5" straight than almost 90 degree angle I never could pass it. Same on the bottom.
      I used the compressor which worked, also I learned that to much pressure its not good the tube disconnects from Panorama drain. After cleaning I open front side of the ceiling and the tubes where lose I used to much pressure.

      @@yurik1608 Thanks for the info. So there ISN'T a rubber restrictor (not sure what to call it) that suppose to keep bugs/spiders out of the drain tube) A lot of BMW's have this on the drain tube ends which seems to not only keep bugs out but clogs up. The view in your video shows it completely open where it exits. FYI, I was able to find a vinyl coated wire(cloths line at ACE Hardware that was stiff enough but flexible to so down the tube from the sunroof. I lubed it with Dawn liquid soap. However, I wasn't able to get it past the bottom 90 degree bend. Thanks again

    I unclogged the drainage by pouring some water, inserting a 1/4 hose and blowing it. Might be the easiest way to start.

    • @yurik1608
      @yurik1608  Před 2 lety

      It's a good idea. Also I heard somebody used the plumbing pipes cleaner, if it's plugged with leaves or some other organic stuff not mineral (sand) it will clean good.

    Sorry. Better advice. Don’t take everything out just time wasting. I give you a fast and easy way.
    Open the hood, remove the air cabin filter and the drain pipe is the corner. If clogged just push thru a feet long stick then use a garden hose to flush. Only takes 10 minutes.

     @yurik 1 take a look at this czcams.com/video/pLkZPAFz398/video.html -- thanks for your effort, I have to see what's the best way to approach this - from inside like the video showed, or outside like you did... or from the top? is your issue solved?

      @yurik1608  Před 2 lety

      Yes so far I don't have any water. Through the top it looks to me more easy. Just be careful if you using air or water pressure the hose may come out of the panoramic drain.
