Bullet fucking rocks... Check out more shit

Killer track. One of their best and lesser known/not as commercially popular anyway. Fun as hell to play, too. They’ve never returned to this level since their first album. Love some of their second album but after that it went down a commercialized cliff. They’ve tried to go heavier lately but it’s still very standard fare as far as I’m concerned. They’re missing a lot of the interesting riffs and frantic pacing that a lot of this album had.

Their newer bass player does a lot of the cleans the lead singer can’t carry anymore. They are a great duo

  • @theundergroundviking

Matt mainly does cleans but in the studio he is the one you hear screaming the most. When they're live, that's when the bassist screams more. Their old bassist also screamed. Matt can still scream and hit all the notes just fine, it just makes more sense for everyone in the band to split up who sings and screams during live shows. Most bands actually do that.

I've been listening to Bullet since The Poison. They've made some true bangers, with the Poison and Scream aim fire being two of my all-time favourite albums. Their latast album goes super hard and is amazing!

I've always had Trivium down as the more technical of the 2 bands & definitely more of those thrash & death metal vibes creeping in with their music. Where as Bullet perhaps don't go as fast/hard & as proggy, but they've made some fantastic metal ballad tracks which were in pretty short supply during their peak years & still are now I'd argue. A good portion of Bullets stronger tracks are also typically the non-singles or bonus tracks in my opinion & I'd say the former is also true in the case of Trivium.

I was both a Trivium and BFMV fan, along with A7X and BMTH great bands at that time.

  • @user-vl9zh6th7b

I love both bands but im more into Trivium they have a better discography and are more technical.

I rue the day anybody refers to bullet as emo hahah. To be fair, in 2004 I was 14 and they were fucking great until like 2008, between them challenging Nickelback for their throne and getting older I fell out. But they came back as you mentioned, a few years ago, back to form. They'll never be my number 1 again but I can say I've seem them live here in Aus and they were bloody great. However, the older I've gotten, and the more grey the bottom of my beard is getting, give me the deathcore goodness. Melt my face off with gutturals. Shit's impressive, y'all should react to that as well.
