    Capture dragons and beasts then auction them off. Then purchase the consumables (dragon steak, minced patty, steamed mollusk, braised skewer). Consume in battle for a slight but permanent stat boost.

      The items give a random increase between 0.1 to 0.5, “0.3” is the average of this. In PSP your RNG was determined by the tile you were stepping on, not by actions. I don’t know 100% for Reborn for RNG.

    in terms of building characters here's my top 5 tips:
    1. on elemental affinities, i'd recommend at least for instills to be the element you're weak against and not strong in.
    2. on levelling up, it's best to switch classes and train in classes which has excellent growth in the stats you need then switch them back to the classes you want them in once you hit the level cap. for example:
    for melee strikers, level up as berserkers then switch them back to terror knights, white knights, etc.
    for ranged strikers, level up as swordmasters then switch them back to archers, ninjas, etc.
    for control casters, level up as clerics until you get access to warlocks/necromancers then either change them back to wizards or keep them as warlocks/necromancers.
    for blasters, level them up as wizards until you get access to warlocks/necromancers then change them back to shamans (the most likely blaster).
    3. if you want to build a swordmaster/TK that uses their debuffs well, it's best to build them as clerics->warlocks/necromancers 1st.
    4. when equipping skills, keep in mind how mp hungry your unit is. a swordmaster for example already has dances to eat up their mp. equipping falling blade and/or 2h katanas for finishers will just end up as clutter as you wont have the mp to use all of them. personally i'd equip 2h katanas or falling blade. not both. this gives you more room to equip other auto-skills.
    5. you dont have to always equip the latest gear. find the gear which provide the bonuses you like and use those. for example i still use linen slops +1 until chapter 4 even with access to gear with better def as i prioritize gear that gives str/dex bonuses. or like with shields, i can equip spiked shields or better by chapter 4 but i still use the aspis.

      @TheRobversion1 Před 10 měsíci

      @@SeniorAdrian use the one your character is weak against not what your enemy is weak to.

      @@TheRobversion1 so its like a buff to the thing im weak against?

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@SeniorAdrian to be clear its a defensive buff primarily. its to prevent you from getting "increase damaged" by enemies attacking your weakness. if you're just looking for offense, the element of instill doesnt matter. it will do the same dmg regardless of whatever element you select, even if that hits an enemy's weakness. thus, the reason to just pick the element for defensive purposes.

    I highly recommend using the infinite money glitch, when you get Ranged Weapons II, a crafting recipe which can be bought from the store once you get to chapter 2ish. You can make Baldur Blowguns, and sell them for more money than the original materials.

    • @89Games
      @89Games  Před rokem +3

      I just had another viewer mention this as well, though they added that you can craft damascus blow guns from the baldur ones and sell those. But after seeing your comment, i ran the numbers lol. you make more profit off just selling baldur blowguns. Thanks for pointing this out!

    I picked up and started playing recently and these tips are good but the beginner tip I always needed was this. Equip MP healing items. There’s a reason the enemy fills up mp before they get to you so that they can spend the next 3 turns using their big crap on you while you smack them for 5. :(

  • @ValeVin

    Because of how the game looks at advantages/elemental advantages/etc., while you do get a boost for being fire and using a fire weapon and a fire finisher, there's also a case to be made for equipping weapons/gear/finishers that don't match your element. If you're fire (weak to water, strong vs. ice), having a lightning finisher gives you a way to deal extra damage to enemies who would normally take less damage from you (water). The game seems to pick your best advantage. And if you wear lightning armor, it'll reduce the damage water does to you.
    (Or, if you're dark, using a dark whip gives you a little extra attack power, but if you use the holy whip, now the game will give you the dark bonus against holy units and the holy bonus against dark units.)
    You can use elemental weapons/finishers to really shore up any weaknesses a character normally has, which is neat =]

    Weapon skills aren't that crazy important. Lategame it's like +30 total attack rating, and the accuracy is negligible since everyone has 100% to hit for the most part.
    Sometimes skills>weapon skills. For instance, my double attack lord build doesn't use one. Double attack, berserk, mighty impact and w/e else situational does mad damage, way more than any of the finishers would. You could even just slot speedstar to offset the dual weight.

    • @89Games
      @89Games  Před rokem +1

      Yeah, early on to mid game weapon skills are decent, but I'd have to agree that in the late game there are definitely some better uses for that skill slot. Something to think about for another video. Thanks for the comment!

    I just went back an unlocked Lord had no clue he could use anything for m any class he's used.
    I got him with Meditation IV, Speedster, Conserve MP, and Spears
    Paradigm Shift, Boon of Swiftness, Major Heal 2 and Ease 2. Kind of a Paladin style class. Conserve MP with Paradigm Shift is pretty cool. Meditate IV on a melee attacker is crazy.

      Do note on RT. if skills that can reduce RT is definitely worth. My 3 White Knights if the Velocity shift happened to run on their turn, it could almost make my units within 2 sq go 1 more turn as each will remove 35 RT per skill activation.

    For crafting, I will suggest when in Chpt 4. Go and do the 6 temple asap as each one will give more recipe for better crafting as well. Anyway, those that available to craft that can bought the shop should help till chpt 4. Sometime also read through the stats of the weapon. Sometime some other stats might be more useful than a few more attack points.
