I'm a big Strokes and George Harrison fan and I loved seeing this! Valensi is great guitar player and very underrated. He has played guitar since he was about 5 years old. I hope one day he'll be seen as another one of the truly amazing guitar players in the world.🤩
In addition, I'd like to add that Albert Hammond Jr, also from the Strokes, is a big fan of George Harrison too. It would be great to see him play one of Harrison's songs live!🥰
Albert Hammond jr father was a good musician too. I bought his vinyl it never raon in southern california
This is AMAZING. This is the first ever time I heard Nick sing.
the HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is amazing.
That was really good.
Nick Valensi on vocal are so underrated. I also like Nicolai Fraiture's side band with my fave musician Erika Spring from Au Revoir Simone
Agree. Driving percussion and sweet guitar solo .
One of my favorites ♥️😊🥲♥️
3:06 the lead is brilliant. excellent
no idea he had such a voice !!
Listen to his other band CRX.
So. My grandfather taught me to play guitar at 8yo. I'm now 31 and have 2 little girls, "Flower Child" 5 and "The Angry One" 3. They love spending the weekends with my grandparents. He came to pick up the girls and I was playing my guitar for the girls...this song. He looked up at me and smiled and said, "I didn't teach you that one! That's nice!" He thought it was cool that the Flower Child likes it and was singing along. My grandfather's name...is George and he has been a lifelong beatles fan since a teenager.
Nick valensi has an amazing voice
Great version...the spirit of the song has totally been preserved
I just wish it was slide on the solo
Until the next generation gets to keep it going!
we need another George fest 💗💗💗 one every 10 years would be great
Every year.
Annually...I'm 30 and I'm here to tell you...there's a lot more people in my generation that know and love George's music.
@@BeardOfRed Right? I'm 33 and loooove George's music.
My first time hearing The Strokes . They have stepped into some pretty Big shoes here , covering a George (BEATLES) Harrison song that opened the Rock portion of The Concert for Bangladesh . I would say that The Strokes have absolutely NAILED & CRUSHED this song . I love the driving percussion and slamming sweet guitar solo !!!
This is a great great version. You can feel the force of the song and spirit of George.
Nick nailed it... so much talent.
3:06 Nick really gave a "Strokes" treatment to that solo!
such a great guitarist outside the box every time
Miss you George❤
Soy un gran fan de the strokes está versión es muy emocionante para mí y ya la había visto
The idea of the wah wah guitar pedal as a metaphor for the band The Beatles really resonates! 😮
Wow amazing live ! Plus one of the best of George's songs
Loving Nick's rendition❤
Ник оказывается,не только отличный гитарист,но и поет не плохо.Красавчик🎉
Really great version! Got to appreciate how well the new generation interprets this classic.
It sounds as good as the original. For some reason I prefer live performances of songs I've heard 100s of times.
Nick cantando a minha música favorita do ATMP... como não amar? 💚

Bloody nice, gents! Can't really name a Strokes tune after all these years, but now I'd like to take a dive into the pool. He's the lead player, though, right? Damn good singer too.

Is that Matt Sorum on drums??
Yep! Ex GNR drummer
That drummer, though. Talk about aggressive! But right on.
The drummer is way too fast and busy. Where is Ringo when you need him?
