Interesting how Verity couldn’t let go of James Taylor who didn’t have any respect for her, yet Tristan who obviously had real feelings for her, she’s not only not interested but disregards those feelings. I have respect for Tristan, who has been honest and shown his vulnerability. Verity’s just not ready for it. Wonder how much her ‘best’ - the real possessive one in this - friend -whatshername - had to do with it!

But Verity has issues, very manipulative, no innocent angel at all, knows when to put on the waterworks. But also she’s 25 years old and still runs everything by her mum. How can you bring a guy to meet your mum after 2 weeks when you’re 25? Like as a guy that would be a massive red flag to me I’d be gone so quick.

I don't care for Verity at the moment and I usually like her. Perhaps James and Maeva were somewhat right about her. Also, I think Tristan is too mature for her anyways. He has good values and she just acted like a baby/turned victim because she didn't like someone holding her accountable for simple common courtesies.

Over all the years I have watched MIC, Tristan is the only guy I could ever imagine wanting to date. He’s intelligent, honest, mature and good looking. All the other guys are players with enormous egos and skewed morals. Verity is simply not good enough. But what can you do when your heart aches for someone...

The exchange between Holmes and Tristan is fascinating to me because instead of attempting to apologise or do anything else remotely reasonable Holmes attempts to justify his actions by telling Tristan that they weren’t great friends to begin with so the affront is less severe. Verity is beautiful and if she doesn't want to be with someone she doesn't want to be with someone. That is fully within her right and should be respected. Should she have hooked up with his friend? I guess not but in this case it seems like a drunken kiss and that nothing further is happening. Verity is a catch and the women in this section that like Tristan, I don't think they can handle that. It is actually really sad. But for them to say that Verity is not a catch is a huge stretch. Tristan was lucky to have found someone that well suited to him and he knows it. Anyone can see how good they are together. Even Emily Blackwell knew she had to bow out. Who knows why Verity broke up with him but it seems like they are both still quite young and even though it has the potential to develop into something great very quickly, I dont blame Verity for wanting to back off and enjoy her twenties.
That being said I do feel bad for Tristan and definitely acknowledge that Verity should NOT have done that tipsy or not. I mean if she was fully drunk I question how consensual it was. But assuming it was just a tipsy kiss then no she shouldn't have done that with his friend. And the friend shouldnt have either.
