- Charlotte Jaconelli on BBC Breakfast giving her first interview since the duo (Jonathan and Charlotte) split earlier this year.

Personally I think her voice is even more beautiful and pure when she sings solo. My guess is that she will soar on her own.
Ikr. She was an amazing teacher :) she used to teach me every week with a bunch of other kids. But I guess those where the old times ☹️
I think what's nice about this pair is the loyalty and respect that they showed to each other.
Absolutely beautiful voice! Loved her from the first time I saw her and Jonathan on BGT. I wish her well in her career!
Charlotte is apparently largely responsible for Johnathon's success. She got him on BGT and got him to agree to do it. He has described their friendship as like brother/sister. And though their voices DO compliment one another their musical directions don't. So the split was for the best. Better now, where they remain close friends than a tug of war resulting in hurt feelings. Best of luck to both. They were and are a breath of fresh air in the entertainment world. And GOD can they sing.
If it wasn't for Jonathan she would have been left behind. She owes her career to him.
I would buy an album with both....not each other alone

She has a beautiful voice, look forward to her future endeavors. She was Jonathons wind beneath his wings in the beginning, she gave him friendship, courage and encouragement in her belief in him. Two very different singing styles, yet both beautiful in their own right.

From the first moment I saw Charlotte on Britain's Got Talent, I believed she was an exquisite blend of talent, beauty, poise and class. And she was 16 years old at the time! I expect her to have a long, successful career and I will continue to look forward to it.
You've heard the expression "old soul"? A very young girl, but with wisdom beyond most folks comprehension. To stand up to and back down bullies is no small feat for a very large and menacing man. For a nice young lady like Charlotte inconceivable.

Beautiful girl, beautiful voice. She should be auditioning for Disney, or Broadway. I'm still a fan of Jonathan as well and understand as they aged, both needed time to branch out on their own. Best wishes to both. x

Nothing could hurt their friendship. Period. Her heart is pure and what she did for Jonathan was amazing. Her voice is so crystal clear and I'm envious of them both. I'm a true contralto, country and southern rock, but love opera. Can't perform opera, dang it all. Love her are Jonathan so much
In her own right Charlotte can hold her own on any stage. A simply beautiful voice that wraps around your heart in seconds. She is just spectacular and a beautiful young lady! . Would listen to her any day, any time!
Fabulous, she has such a strong beautiful voice. When Simon said during their first audition that he thought Charolette would hold Johnathon back, he was only hearing Johnathon because we had lost the great Pavarotti but, their second song, wow, she shone!
So true, when Charlotte hit the final note on Caruso I sat up and took notice. This young lady will go far. For Simon to compare Jonathan to Pavarotti is like comparing Lady Gaga to Tiny Tim.
Chuck Henry How did you figure that out then? Charlotte is good don't get me wrong but Jonathan is a phenomenon and there is a very obvious comparison between him and the late great Pavarotti.

This lively young lady made us stake notice when she and her singing partner stepped on the stage and helped a shy and very nervous Jonathan stun the audience with their incredible blend of talents. Their albums are wonderful!
Wow, listen to her in the early morning...somewhere someplace it is just you and her crystal clear voice! It brings goosebumps to your arms. What a voice!
Both have lovely voices long may they keep us all happy listening to them. R.R
they really had something unique and beautiful together.... their personalities, their smiles together, and of course most of all, their incredible sound together... I'm a little crushed that they are not together any longer... they could have been a most famous singing couple for many years... bummer
Eventually, they both had to go their own separate ways and develop. Jonathan IS opera, a pure tenor. Charlotte is more the mold of Sarah Brightman. I see them doing things together, much like you see Brightman and Bocelli, but with their unique styles. Nothing but up for these two young people.
Scott, thanks for being objective in your post. I do hope that they do get together every once and a while to produce a CD. It will be interesting to see if the harmony magic will still be there since their voices have matured. What ever we were fortunate to see the development of two young artist who held the world at their feet.
What???!! sara brightman wow you need a new pair of ears!! And sara was absolutly classical she made pop music but still her way of singing was completly classic that is what made those recordings succesful not like this girl at all, it is like deaf people comparing jhonathan to pavarotti, these comments are so ignorant and stupid

I thought or rather maybe was hoping that Jonathon was in love with Charlotte. I didn't see them splitting up ever. So sad. I loved the two of them singing together and enjoyed every second of it. Charlotte has such a beautiful sweet voice, I wish them both the best.
It was a clear Simon Cowell's prediction that Charlotte and Jonathan will separate their way and that what happened. I wish to each of them great future.
+LivingVibrantly It is not just their styles are different, their capability aredifferent as well. But without Charlotte who knows if Jonathan would be able to get on public. It was she, who initiate their performance on the show.

Charlotte right from the start, stated that she wanted to be in musicals. Jonathan of course was more into the whole opera scene. I think that both after the split will be able to do, and be successful, in their own pursuits.
Neither one will have to worry about finances I am sure, with the albums they already created. Both are better off, with the whole situation, from start to finish. Jonathon would have had a meltdown without her in my opinion. When he started too soon at the first audition, she kept him grounded. There is no animosity between them, we as fans should have none either.
Yeah a few years is enough. Not all can stay together for long. Everyone should be this logical & reasonable when you know is time for a change.

Charlotte, The time you lovely young people were together was meant to be. You each matured musically and personally in ways you couldn't have apart, and now you and Jonathon are moving ahead with your careers. She has a wonderful soul and such poise. I wish she had a TV show where could sing and set the good example that she is.
From the moment I first heard Jonathan and Charlotte, it was clear that Jonathan was the break away star that is defined for mega stardom. Jonathan Antoine makes Paul Potts look like a deaf mute by comparison and Paul Potts is certainly no slouch.
Charlotte is definitely going to have a very long career, and trust me when I say that I don't think we've seen the last of Jonathan AND Charlotte on stage together. Someday, down the line when they've both gotten some years in their respective niches under their belts, an opportunity will come that will see them reunited onstage.
I knew Jonathan was going to be a big deal when I read that Simon Cowell had Jonathan insure his voice for £10M!
Paul Potts is an ok Tenor but only for Popera purposes in the same vein as Russell Watson etc... he certainly surprised many how good he was considering he worked in CarPhone Warehouse but his voice is nothing compared with Jonathans who given a few more years of operatic training his voice will match or even surpass that of the great Opera stars including Pavarotti.

She's definitely broadway/westend oriented. I think she's got a chance to have longevity if she sticks to what she's been studying since she was young. the split was inevitable since there's not much more they can do together. I still love her voice for voice overs and Disney type stuff. she's 18 now and I think she's found her niche in the music industry.
Fast forward 5 years and she is incredible on the west end!

Was happy to see this. It keeps me from telling people over and over why she doesn't do a solo concert tour and record more. Not what she wants.
The beautiful 16-year old girl has matured (what seems to being noticed by everyone) into a beautiful young woman.The split with Jonathan on the basis of voices does not surprise me - just recall the somewhat less than tender comment made by Simon after their performance at BGT - but on the basis of loyalty, '...I would not be here if it were not for Charlotte...' I am shocked. There is a moral commitment which cannot be put into words. Every so often I would ask one of my classes:" What is more binding, an iron-clad contract or a man's word ?" And to a man they would answer : An iron-clad contract. And to their amazement I would answer: An iron-clad contract is not binding at all, you can break it at any time as long as you are willing to pay the specified fine/damages. On the other hand, how does one make whole a broken word ? Restore the lost trust ?
When I go to heaven I want to hear the angels with her voice and Johns too :)
Sony offered them separate deals. It's as simple as that really, no big scandal.

I agree with most of the comments. Charlotte is a great singer but there are lots of great singers. She will do very well in musical theater which is where she always wanted to be anyway. Jonathan however is outstanding, he has a one of a kind voice.
Chuck Henry incase you think Jonathan hasn't got an outstanding opera voice the likes of Rolando Villazon, Russell Watson and Placido Domingo tend to think the contarary, if Jonathan was anything less then an exceptional Tenor he wouldn't have been invited by Domingo to sing with him at this weeks iTunes festival.

These are both awesomely talented young people, and while it seems a downer they parted company, this doesn't preclude them reuniting for some future project should one present itself.

After watching their initial performance on Britain's got talent, and how sweet they were to each other, it seems very sad that they couldn't agree on what direction their music would be going. Even with that, how come they couldn't remain friends?

Simon said that this beautifully talented young lady was going to hold Johnathan back; which by the way, really angered me. I feel that Simon was extremely rude and I could see the hurt and disappointment in this young girls heart after he tried to embarrass her on national television. Utterly unacceptable! That said; I'm so very glad to see that Charlotte did not allow Simons (OR MR.
