Wikipedia says Raj Bhavan-Kolkata, built in 1803, has : Floor Area 84,000 Sq Ft., Rooms :90, Wash Rooms: 14, Compound of 27 Acres. Do we need this as a Residence or Office for an Govt Official? No. West Bengal State Govt should use this resource of 27 Acres of land for better purpose for the people of West Bengal. The state is governed by the State Govt. The Governor's office works are not much compared to British Raj time.

There are many examples of suc building all over India.
Even the Presidential building is also of the colonial era .
      So don't talk rubbish.

British already left, no British Raj now. But we have "Raj" Bhavan. Such a huge bungalow is not required for a Governor to live or using it as Office. The land will be in 10s of acres, I think. This is wasting our resources. We can provide a new House with better safety arrangements and office, meeting rooms with latest technology devices etc. West Bengal Govt should check the safety of the Raj Bhavan building. If possible, State Govt should use the land and the building for a College or University or any other important purpose.
