The Mighty Jon Lord. There will never be another like him!
When Coverdale was on top of his game

Da galt noch: " Let me see your f*cking cigarett lighters..." 😊
Cozy Powell - Jon Lord Rest in peace ! You are the greatest of all time.
And
Mr. Melvin Galley Rest In Peace 🎸😢
Jon Lord was. Cozy, amazing, but not the greatest.
I didn't write that he is the best of the best. I said Great!@@mmmcosta
damn what a line up, love this blues rock era of Whitesnake
This lineup may not have had the looks for MTV. (which is why they got sacked honestly) However, this was Coverdale's most talented group of musicians. British rock at its finest.
Cozy or tommy Aldridge on drums... who's better???
.... don't forget Bernie Marsden!
Your right, Bernie was excellent@@frankwolthaus3416
Aynsley Dunbar 1987 Album Drummer (just to be a smart ass). To answer your question. Cozy. @@teetaunjj7894
Aynsley Dunbar was The best
Great liveshow and good to se people really Enjoy the performance and NO cellphones🙌
well, yea. They didn't exist yet.
@@MartinPlath Yes, they did.
outstanding performance, excellent musicians

Coverdale was the best hard rock singer on the planet in his prime.. It was John Sykes guitar playing and sound elevated them to mega stardom in the late 80's, and Coverdale kept that sound...
He looks ridiculous and has a limited vocal range, can't stretch across five octaves. Silly screeching boy in tight jeans trying to overcompensate with the microphone.
Eeeeeee daaaaa, pravi whitesnake........odlican koncert.......postava boli glava......mnogo dobra set lista.........wine,woman and song - wauuuuuuuu ludilo stvar
I had recorded that gig on music cassette from radio, while watching it on TV, because it was a simulcast. (Had no VCR at that time). Great version. 👍
Same here! 😂
Cozy Powell -- what a beast behind the kit. No-one, and with all due respect I mean no-one, powers a double bass drum kick like he does.
Saw this line up in Leeds back in the day. Thanks for posting.
That fine tram shed in Leeds aka The Queen’s Hall
Greatest band of all the times!!!
Great Singer and Leader of the Great Band Whitesnake!!!
Great Musicians!!!!
David Coverdale you are the Best!!!
❤🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🧨🎆🎇
No that might have been the previous line -up with Bernie, Neil and little Ian. But this was the last great line up. But there was never quite as much chemistry between Colin and Cozy (though great individually - do check out Colin with Ten Year's After). My Monster's of Rock T-shirt has long ago been put in the rags pile and used to clean floors - but I was there.
Glorioso whitesnake
Gran formación!!!!
What a band that was!
Saw this line up at Manchester Apollo the year before. Immense.
WOW!!!
But Micky Moody - guitar, vocal and Mel Galley - guitar, vocal was GREAT.
100% Agree!
Moody/Marsden was better..
Fun Fact: Mel Galley played with Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) and Dave Holland (Judas Priest) in Trapeze...🤓
@@martinkasper197yes Marsden and Moody fits better together because they both very bluesy!
@@martinkasper197 Fun Fact Glenn Hughes and Mel Galley were from the same town, Cannock Staffordshire.
Nice...
Mel & Mickey, two very unrated guitarist’s !
Fantástic
🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
❤Goooooöd!
Doc Jazz&Rock, you are THE MAN!!! 👏👏👏
What a great upload! Thank you @Doctor Jazz&Rock!
cozy powell is just impeccable.
wooooow ! great great Musicians !
adoro whitesnake
I love you tube soooooo much, i love gibson guitars, i loooooove jon lord and all orhers of ws.
Nice. Aha I'm wearing a Gibson Les Paul hoodie
Ich war dabei!
Of course you were. Three of them I know of were your band mates. You're one of the best and my favorite guitar players in the history of rock and roll. I you love you man. thank you for sharing your talents with the world. In Rock
Lol
@@martinkasper197 what means "lol"?
Daivd Coverdale is the best of the best singer of Rock and Roll.
Fantástico
Bernie is missing, Ian and Neil, too... That was the best line-up! But this is good, too!
They loved them in Germany.
I saw that tour in Lausanne on 21 January 1983. Stil have posters and t-shirts... that do not fit anymore :-) What a great time to be a teenager!
I must say that I do not think that Cozy was a great fit in Whitesnake. He was too heavy but what a great rock drummer. Colin Hodgkinson is a stunning bass player and I love his work with Back Door, Hammer & Schon and others but again not the perfect fit for WS.
I agree. As the late, GREAT, Bernie Marsden would say... " The best drummer for Whitesnake was Ian Paice & the best bassist was Neil Murray. ( and Cozy was his best man)
Obrigado
Back in the day when they could mix a rock concert properly, unlike today when the sound pressure levels are so high that it all turns into unlistenable mush.
I have to agree in those days there was great balance nowadays everything is turned up to number 10 and it’s a battle for everything to be heard properly then you have a singer you cannot hear and you just see a guy running about the stage screaming his head off that nobody can discern from the racket going on all around
Not an expert on Whitesnake but wow, this is great!!!
This is a gem, thank you. I could see why Jon said we have 97%. Male audience and he's up front doing this sex routine. He was having a poke, Dave.😂 Jon Lord stole this show. Rip 🙏
WOW!
Yes....❤❤❤❤❤
Ooooo ovo je neverovatno....Dejvid je predivan muzicar
This is my favorite lineup of Whitesnake. I liked the Hairband lineup too and I’m a huge fan of Adrian Vandenberg, but their earlier blues rock sound was better IMO. Most of their later big hits were remakes from the early Whitesnake. Bernie Marsden wrote or co-wrote a lot of their songs.
47:30, that's Burntwood (not a Burned Hood), a song from Jon Lord's solo album "Before I Forget (1982)".
Yes these blokes were polished they've influenced ROCK // METAL ,as we know it, totally British U.K.
Cozy Powell was a Speed freak,he was talking to Bob daisley when he crashed his car and died in 1998!!!!
In their prime !
One of the three pieces of the fireball called Deep Purple that exploded back in 1976 ...
The other two being Gillan and Rainbow ...
* Moscow, Russia
Don't forget Paice, Aston & Lord (with Bernie Marsden) and IGB...🤓 And Blackmores Night...🤣🤣
Mic stand gymnastics at their “peak”…
🤘👍
David Coverdale brings master John Sikes to play the guitar
Perfect, but the show looks better with the video at 0.9 speed
Musik vom Feinsten
Vom Allerfeinsten !!!
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Missing Bernie Marsden and Ian Paice here. Whitesnake lost the blues from here onwards, and in my opinion were worse for it.
John Lord.
👍🤘👍🤘👍😎⚡
;D 😎Tinja&Markku 🌹
When they Snake was more real, not looks but all the hooks. Bluesy and craftsmanship.
🇨🇦👽🎸👍🏼
Great energy great music and great musicians but Cozy plays wayyyy too fast here.
Love White Snake but this isn't live
Jon Lord mixed far too low on the intro to WITSOTB. His keyboards should have been soaring over everything.
Is it me or is Mel Galley throwing some real weird shapes 😂
What is the exact date of this show?

LEEDS queen hall what a gig
I was there!
Now that was some gig
Yes, it was I was there too. Awesome gig and I was absolutely blown away by the Hodgkinson/Moody solo section, I'd never heard bass played like that before.
ummm...Fool for Your Loving came out in 88
In 1980 on "Ready An' Willing"
I only knew of the Slip of the Tongue version@@sisibond
There are 2 versions as with Here I go again...🤓

Back when Coverdale was THE GREATEST rock singer on the planet. Less than 10 years later he was - sadly and so unfortunately - already spiralling down.
THEN..enter 'Tawny'......who designed David & the 'new white snake' (Don't put your partners in videos)
Papada frita milei 😂
They played Fool For Your Loving way too fast. Sucked.
I'd fall asleep during their show!!
This is ALTERNATIVE ROCK music as this is nothing to do with actual METAL!!
where did your alternative brain get the idea that it was supposed to be metal? this is blues rock... metal only wishes it could be so good
Deep purple were much much better...
What a pointless comment, they were very different bands in different eras. WS were one of the great blues rock bands with an incredible body of compositions.
Which incarnation of DP? So stupid comment..
Para ti.
Jhon Lord a God !!
Believe I was at this show.
❤
Personally I think the original versions of Whitesnake nor AC/DC can be bettered. That’s what made them successful and the music was original and powerful. Brian Johnson is a truly awful replacement as was Galley.
exactly...I agree 100%
Great liveshow and good to se people really Enjoy the performance and NO cellphones🙌
