I thought I was going to get through a whole year without buying an AliEx watch but this one has dragged me back in, looks great. I liked the look of the Rdunae but wasn't keen on that name or the sterile option. Now we wait...
Good presentation - review the take away for me is that for another $35 or so this watch would be much better in the following aspects,a ceramic bezel with a better crystal and stainless steel brushed horizontally applied finish to the case. Thorn can go back to the drawing board and maybe this watch will not gasp for air..

Would love to know what exploration road really means? Google says it means 'roads constructed to locate mineral bodies to determine mineability and merchantability therof'. Go figure. I'm watching this because I recently stumbled upon a Seiko "Fifty Five Fathoms" - I was happy to see you include and show off other brand Fifty Fathom homages at the end of the video but was surprised you didn't include the Seiko But, then again, Seiko did put their spin on it dressing it up with applied indices and day/date wheels - It's my current favorite watch - good job
Looks great value for money, nice that the colour of the indices match the bezel print. Only negative other than not having sapphire is the size of the crown. Been thinking about buying one since it came out.

I love the fifty. Thats why i have a spinnaker feluss. It's inspired by the fifty but still has its own design. Abt the Thorn, i think a sapphire and a bigger crown and using an nh38 with less text on the dial and lastly better strap would've made it the best homage, id think abt getting one. The Helm miyako and the reef tiger are also heavily inspired by it. Btw congratulations and i think the seestern is a nice looking watch and thank you for being so generous..

wow, I like a whole lot about this piece. Lovely case, dial and hands with very wearable dimensions. I even like the supplied strap (but like that you showed a variety of straps - much appreciated that). But I really don't like glossy bezels. I'm actually getting really annoyed with all the watches I'd otherwise like if they didn't have a glossy bezel. Also, wouldn't mind a larger crown on this.
Agree with you regarding the bezels. The ali stores must have a supply of ceramic ones they have to use up. Aluminium bezels suit vintage style watches so much better. It's one of the reasons I liked the San Martin gmt so much. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the feedback.

Adventurer or navigator make a lot more sense than exploration road. My next Ali review is going to be the Bettimer GP homage. Any thoughts as to why they chose Bettimer as their brand name?

Thanks. You've hit the nail on the head there for not much more money/increased cost for buyers. They could have put out a much better watch.
Just to add, you can polish mineral crystal. It is a bit more work, but with a dremel you can usually polish out any scuffs.
I've got some vintage watches with mineral crystals I'd love to bring back, but all the tutorials make it sound very difficult.

Cheers. I did have a picture of the seiko in the folder, but as I focused on the vintage aesthetic, I stuck to the Vintage Blancpains.

As the owner of a gold seiko ”FFF” I wouldn’t recommend it, very jangly and cheap construction IMO

The crown is on the small side, but it does suit the style of the watch, and it's easy to use. No problem winding screwing down, etc.

Noooo sapphire ruins the dial and it's very cloudy. The best it's a plexiglass like the vintage version.
