Kalari - 15 | Changampally Kalari - Pullathara Kerala

The Changampalli Gurukal, who were Kaula-based ritualists, were experts in weaponry and mantra-based mysticism. Thirunnavaya is the headquarters of the Changampally Gurukans in Kerala. Changampalli Kalari Sampradayam, the founders of Tulunadan Vidya, is very important in the history of Kerala's martial tradition.

Shiva-inspired form of worship once existed in many temples in Kerala's kavas and kalaris. But due to the interference of non-believers all these rituals were deviated in time. Thus the kavus, kalaris and temples of Kerala began to decay. The society was weakened, powerless even to face the sword of the invaders coming towards its neck.
The kavas, kalaris and sadhana powerhouses of Kerala should be resurrected. Veeram Shaivam Shakteyam is an attempt towards this.
