I have to lock my Vulcan 2000 up when I'm not around. It gets out and beats up the local Harleys.

It's sad Harley really needs to work on their performance numbers if I had to pick I would still rather have a Harley you can't beat the sound and you can't beat the look. There's just something about a Harley. Kawasaki don't sound as good

I bought one of the big V2Ks back in '05. BAK, throttle body upgrade, PCIII and Hard Krome 3" Straights means it eats every HD I've ever ridden with without breaking a sweat. When I pull up at Bike Nights, I always get asked "what is it?" My reply? What your Harley will be when it grows up.

Best bike is the the ones you actually let out of the garage. Weather it cost 30k or 3, no use in storage. Nice bikes and that vulcan got some big balls.

Move to CO, got a chance to ride with the biggest Harley fanatic, and in the middle of the ride he decides to open his throttle wide open. Few seconds later he saw me passing by with my wife in the rear seat of the 2K. After we stopped he cleared his throat and said "not bad for a Jap bike", I replied "my throttle was cutting off at 70% because my power commander was programmed for sea level". lol

So why spend more money and replace your Harley engine to make it go faster and faster why don't you buy a 124 & $6,000 later on S&S engine to outrun a Vulcan! And that way you can still call it a Harley! Total bullshit! It ain't how fast you can win it's how fast you can spend to represent symbolism over substance!

2007 vs 2003?? you have a mosquito brain. in 2014 let's sale this bikes at the same time, you will get well over $9,000 for the HD and the vulcan ??? $4,500 max. plus you have to get the horse power, weight and the driver. then do the comparison, is not about the brand is who you are feeding, the people at your house or the enemies in the neighborhood. i live where the HD's are made and YOU?

Hold on. The initial new $ on the Vulcan is half the price of the HD purchased new. Of course the resale $ would reflect that. What makes you think a worker in Milwaukee is better than a Japanese technician? Hilarious.
