    Hi Can'tdownhoolies I have also 30 inches inseam, but i almost tip tor the versys 650.
    Versys have enough power to get you in trouble and quick.
    I found the the CB500x better but she lack power when two up, for single riding it's a joy.
    Nice video and thank-you

    I worked at Wayne cycle in the early 80's as the mechanic, for around 7 years...and loved them guys, wayne, greg, darrall, and then gary in the parts dept...and this brings me back...thanks...I sure do miss riding my 1987 FZ 750 with the original genesis engine...man what a bike. That bike burnt up in the fire that burnt down the original wayne cycle shop(with my tools and bike in it)...so I had to settle for a 1986 FZ 700 which to me would not hall a...s.....s like the 87'.........

    Versys 650 beats V-Strom 650 if ADV focus is on pavement. V-Strom 650 beats Versys 650 if ADV focus if off -road is important consideration. Why? V-strom has 19” front wheel and more aftermarket dirt focused items; skid plates, suspension, side cases, etc.

    • @Davmm96
      @Davmm96 Před 4 lety

      Yeah, not having a 19" front pisses me off a bit. Love the bike but damn, i'm really checking into converting into a 19" front cause I'm not into buying another bike.

    • @oldtimer3824
      @oldtimer3824 Před 4 lety

      Damezca I think changing from a 21 inch to19 inch it throw off the bike geometry as it was designed for 21. But what the hell do I know, I’m not a motorcycle engineer. Might be cheaper just to buy the bike with the proper front wheel size

    • @Davmm96
      @Davmm96 Před 4 lety

      @@oldtimer3824 The versys ships with 17" wheels and there is no dual-sports options for tires in that size apart from the TKC 80 and the Pirelli MT 60 RS . will change the bike handling and speedometer readings but hey, it's either that or street tires in the mud.
      But maybe it's just me who takes the "Versatility" of the bike too far :P

    No need for "whoopsie" for waving to someone on a moped. Just being a good big brother. He's on two wheels with an engine and enjoying the breeze too! Just think about the old white guys on their V twins shunning you. A-holes, right?

      I have a Burgman 650, a TW200 as well as a '17 Versys 650. I've also owned a Dyna Glide. Funny though when you see the Harley guys recoil their wave as soon as they realize I'm on a scooter. A little less frequent on Versys or Tdub.

      I just test rode the 1000. It’s a monster.. I honestly felt like it was too much power at that height. Sounds weird but I kept thinking how far id go flying if I hit something. If I’m on that powerful of a bike, I wanna be in attack position low on a super sport. Just my opinion. I’m gonna test ride 650 lt tomorrow.
