I know exaclty where he is, both the island and the beach, I've been there in July. In fact I reccomended this island to Gabriel in one of his previous videos (I won't say which), but he didn't respond so I assumed that he didn't read my reccomendation (which might still be the case lol).
It is not a very touristy island, even in July the situation was not very different than what you see now. It is an island well known for hiking, free camping and nudism, so we are lucky that he didn't encounter any nudists and could film the beach.
This beach is one of my all time favorites, It's even more impressive when you are actually there and this type of black sand is really really hot to your feet.
Now Gabriel will have an important decision to make. This island has one very particular and unique attraction. If he decides to film there, it will generate many views beacause as I said it is very unique but it will be a dead giveaway about which island it is. I don't know what he'll do, I just hope he does some of the hikes, or goes to the very picturesque villages of the island (just 3 of them) and films them.
Anyway this is one of my favorite places to go in my country and I applaud his decision to be secretive about it, I don't want to find hordes of tourists if I decide to visit again, lol.

Found it! Well with the help of my Greek boyfriend! It is not that unknown I think and that is why I was struggling at first as I was focusing on even less known islands! It is one we are planning to visit as well after we went to a nearby one last year. Great choice!

@ZuluDawn88 Where did you see the name of the restaurant? I rewatched the last 3 minutes 3x and at no point is the name of the restaurant visible, except maybe a logo on the worker's shirt, but it's too blurry
And also the name of the island is revealed on the tablecloth.Greek taverns are acccustomed to draw the map of the island,on the tablecloth, at which the restaurant resides on.So its easy for someone who has travelled before on a greek island to sort of figure it out

Great intro. Editing virtuosity. I thought you might go the whole 19 minutes without talking. Kudos for cleaning up the litter but sad that you had to ... people! Amazing how even skinnier u look when doing yoga. Gyro sandwiches are great but I bet especially in the part of the world where they were invented. Again, no fish in the Mediterranean Sea I see. Re camping, I didn't even know about mattresses when I was in Boy Scouts - we always just used leaves - but, yes, it's something that becomes more important as you get older.

Mediterranean mattress - Take Prickly plants, tread on them until the thorns break. Put a thick blanket on it and you have a mattress. It that is also resistant to rain on the ground

I'll leave the camera here, I'll place my camera there, I'll walk towards the camera, then walk away. I know I'll leave it in a tree overnight so I can capture myself emerging from my tent. No, I'll get up, place it in the tree, get in my tent then emerge. They'll think I've captured myself first thing in the morning. Whew! This filming is exhausting.

Hopefully a big Hollywood production will not move in after seeing the latest Gabriel video and then come up with some blockbuster thus ruining the beach for future generations.. This is a good concept for more travel videos though, SECRET beaches and islands and such. Gabriel is the candidate for this new niche now. Personally I have a problem getting rid of those horrible crowds when I travel, this is the way to go!
Except none of them remain secret for more than a few hours..someone always names where he is 😉

The GoPro Hero 7 camera is a good camera but I hope you will consider upgrading to a Panasonic GH5. I'm not a big camera expert but I watch many CZcams videos and those using the GH5 camera produce the highest quality video. You record so many great and interesting places, it's regrettable that you don't use the best affordable camera. Video from the GH5 is so crisp, clear and stable that's it's almost unbelievable. It's almost like you can reach into the screen. Thank you.

When the first Greek the Acheans arrived on the Greek peninsula. They named it Hellas . That means sunny rock . You can see here 15:30 why the country was given that name. Scandinavian people only call our country by its real name. We are Hellenes and the country is Hellas.

15:08 That is "Vespa Crabro", a type of wasp that is usually considered a pest! They are carnivores and eat other insects, and even steal their food! They will not sting you, unless you go and poke around their nest, which looks like something made out of paper! 😁

I think that could be the best Greek island you've visited yet. The early morning sunrise view was out of this world! On a different note- but relevant to your love of hiking- have you heard of the Traumpfad (Munich to Venice) walk? I have just returned from Munich where I walked the first few miles of this trail- there is a video of it on my channel (just search "Traumpfad" on my channel) which you may find intetesting. There are also videos on CZcams of people walking the whole 350 mile trail. The Traumpfad goes across the Alps so its not an easy hike but the views are fantastic. My video only shows the walk along part of the River Isar as it leaves Munich. I thought of you whilst doing this walk and thought you might be intetested in doing bits of this trail. The English language guidebook to the walk is published by Cicerone- just search on "Munich to Venice book Cicerone" on Amazon to see the book. Hope you find this info useful. Looking forward to your next Greek island video!

Hi Gabriel, I don't agree to keep our islands secret. Most of small Greek islands get income only from tourism. Also the tourism season in most islands lasts about three months only. So, they need promotion from anyone who visits all these small paradises. Thank you.

Possibly in September when there are less tourists.
To film yourself walking away so many times must have been quite a workout having to go back repeatedly to retrieve your camera or you were using two.? The water looks refreshing and the solitude sublime.

You are right, however this can be corrected if putting the camera in a small drone. Which will also help taking other views as well.

That's too bad about the nice camping mattress. I'm by no means an outdoorsperson but long, long time ago I went with an outdoors company doing white water rafting and we camped as well... having one of those good foamy mattresses is essential --- two or three, even better. The ground was hard but also at night there was condensation so the ground got a little wet. I'm sure if I hadn't had the little foam mattress, my sleeping bag and myself would have been cold and wet. This is Red Deer River in Alberta, Canada. It was great that you found the mattresses and other items you could use but I'm a little bummed that those previous campers didn't take their trash out of the beach area and dump them properly.
I've never been to the Mediterranean so in late September when you jump into the water, the water is still warm? What a nice spot to get away from it all... but then it's nice knowing that you can drive some ways to a village and get a restaurant meal. Your videos are the best, Gabriel.
The water definitely isn't warm. But it isn't crazy cold either. Refreshing you could say. Feels good when it's hot out.
Now that is more my style! The only way that could be any better, is skinny dipping with a friend. 😁

Hi Gabriel, That area should do what they do in the States create some facilities like showers, toilets a garbage disposal area. I see this area being much more popular to explore during the height of summer months like June and July This would be something for a group of travels to do to get away from the commercialism for a while and take in nature and its splendid beauty.
