In 1974 we selected 250 case an hour at the jax whse , 44 hours a week and more thru the holiday , Thank you Mr George

I do 200hr but boxes are bulky some orders u only fit 25 cases on a pallet lol

Every department is different, protect your back!!! Imma say it again protect your back!!! Fmla is a thing. Time and a half isn’t a thing, your checks will get taxed higher. Have a plan!!! Educate yourself fam.
Time and a half is a thing. Tax brackets exist but only the amount you make over it. If you get taxed higher at 40k vs 39k it's the money over 40k not the whole amount.

Just had my interview today. I feel like i did a great job. The manger interviewing me said that they will be contacting me in the next few days and that he had more people to interview after me. He seemd like he liked me. I hope i get this job

Wages based on how much they complete, yet you want them to be safe? This guy must be one of those oblivious upper management types that has no clue what he's saying and if you think work should be a workout then you're an idiot (IMO) because working like that will mess you up. Especially when a good chunk of your time and money will be sunk into medical issues afterwards.
Been selecting high % for over 4 years now and I'm not a 20 year old kid. I'm straight, hit the gym everyday too.
I've done this for 10 yrs. Not worth it.

Ours is 15.45 base but it's 19.00 hour if your on time everyday. And then up to 23 for high percentage plus 75 cents for freezer
right now starting pay is 12.55 as a warehouse person,then get a raise after 3 months of no call out no tardy from 1.50,but if you start as a selector will be diferent,basic pay right now is 18.30 if you hit 100% and beleive me 100% it so easy to do,ovbius you can pull higher if you want,the higher you higher they pay you

Selecting is not a workout, get the heck our of here.
We have a legit gym at Sysco. After I work, I go in there and literally workout. You're right, selecting is not really a workout, I'd say it's more of an endurance race.

How cold is the produce area?
not much
Like a crisp Fall afternoon. I'm in the produce cooler at Sysco and it's fine. The freezer is another level though.
@@louistorres been working there for almost 5 months now it’s not as cold I thought. U right about the freezer tho I seen people come out the freezer with ice beards 🥶
How is Publix warehouse?? I already have experience with WalMart warehouse so I already know what to expect wen doing the job! Got over 5 yes.. I hope publix is better than WalMart!.. with base pay and also overtime.. and hope the benefits are better
Publix is great, you get provided lunch which is a bonus. Just like any warehouse just learn the aisles and work hard and you’ll have no problem. Starting pay is $16.20 I believe and $2 extra when you work weekends. .50 cents for night shift and .50 addition cents if you also work in the freezer. If you pull 100% you make $20.20
Incentive based pay is $2 for every 10% faster that you work . Ex: 150% speed = $30/hr
If you’re an actual beast and willing to work for your money then NEVER cross train. They can take you off the floor anytime and you’ll be doing forklift work or loading the trucks where you cap out at $20.20 . This was my mistake and ultimately why I left the warehouse because I had no control over when they take me off the floor and I was pulling 180%-200% making $36-$40 an hour not including overtime. My take home money before being cross trained was on average $1400 -$1700 after taxes (weekly pay) That went down to $800-$1000 because I had no choice when they take me off the floor. Not saying this to brag just the importance of never cross training if you’re here to make money and don’t mind putting in work to do it.
Benefits are pretty good as well I never got into it much as I only worked there at 18 years old so nothing like that ever crossed my mind but I heard the dental is good & stock options and 401k .

there isn't part time for food storage warehouses, and almost all require the workload to finish before ending shift
No part time it’s hell on earth . I left 1 year ago and my body has never felt any better
