    His yards after the catch ability is just amazing. I love when a WR makes that extra effort to get those extra yards.

    let me remind any haters there might be, he's been playing most of the season with a bad ankle! He's hurt, yet still nobody can cover him. He's going to be amazing in the NFL. Nobody thought wess welker would be any good, but I knew what type of player he could be, and would be. Crabtree is going to be the best receiver out of Tech in history, and he'll be top 5 playing in the NFL in his 3rd season. Mark my words!

    He's helped by the system, but he's definitely not just a product of one. That guy can flat out play. Probably the best returning receiver in the country. He might've been the best receiver in the nation last year.

    what makes Crabtree so sick is how he breaks tackles and keeps going after he catches the football. the Texas game is proof of that.

    The thing this video reminded me is how good Crabtree is with the ball in his hands- half these plays were short routes that he turned into monster gains. Great wideout.

    This guy is the real deal!!! Thanks to all 9 teams that passed him up including the Raiders. Remember our great Niners WR's (Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens) didn't have speed ala Crabtree, who will dominate for sho. Give him 2 yrs. to develop and he will be an All Pro/Pro Bowler! All haters just wait & see you'll know what I mean. Go NIners!!!! For those who think we don't have a QB in Shaun Hill, just ask Isaac Bruce who did pretty good last season with him at QB.

  • @dwid1984
    @dwid1984 Před 12 lety

    Vernon Davis was averaging 16 ypc last year and was just shy of 1k, last year he was down to 11.8 ypc and down to 792 yards, less tds and 3 fumbles, which shows that they are relying shorter routes and yac. They ran the ball 500 times last year, its a ball control offense to compliment the defense, Crabtree had almost 400 yards after the catch. The year before they ran it 400 times and 371 times in 09.

    I really can't agree. Only one other D1 WR ever caught more touchdowns in a single season, had more yards in a season and more receptions in a season... and Crabtree did that all as a freshman. Bess never had had 134 receptions in a season, 1962 yards in a season, or 22 touchdowns in a season. Harrell and crabtree did something last year that was unreal, and this year they are winning games. I think the case is good that they're better.

    @slayer63b Před 15 lety

    From what I make of it. Crabtree is excellent after the catch. We only need to implement him as a package receiver or in the flanker, to win later in the year. Right now is the time for the 49ers Faithful. It is the hardest part of the schedule. I want Winners!!!

    The guy has TREMENDOUS hands and somehow always finds a way to be open, EVEN when he is blanketed by defenders. When the ball is in his hands he is very elusive and when you are actually able to get your hands on him he is extremely tough to bring down because he is also very strong. You also have to see that he is very good gametime speed. It wasn't on here bu if you watch the UT game he burned the entire UT defense on a slant. Desean Jackson is a good special teams guy but thats about it

    betsuki89 why do people say we need a new QB, he is accurate, fast in the pocket, elusive, smart, and willing to give all of himself for a first down "head first dive into defenders without a helmet". What else do you want from a QB? We are in the age of the long bomb, so if someone doesn't do it we assume he is no good. Go back and look at the films, Joe Montana himself rarely through the long ball, they ran the west coast, there was no need for it, and we're running it again this year.

    Sold! Detractors think every NFL route is 40 yards in a straight friggin line. They chirp about him not having the full NFL tree....like somehow he doesnt have the intellectual depth OR time to learn it at his age,LOL.
    The spread showcased his abilities, not inhibited them. Teams will eventually have to scheme against him before gameday, not just roll safety help on certain downs like Maclin.

    @ftghb Před 15 lety

    testament to how much time that offensive line gave harrell to find crabtree. The highlight shows a few broken plays and ALOT of blown coverages, the ones that were by design says more about harrell's timing and accuracy than it doesn about crabtree's game. Seriously, ive never seen a more overhyped receiver than crabtree. Rate me down if you want, but Ive been a football fan for 30 years and nothing about this highlight impresses me. Did you know the undrafted teammate of Crabtree's Amendola

    Actually Tech's system is pretty simple. Probably the most simple offense there is. I coach and a friend of mine played receiver for them a few years ago. It looks like a complicated "high-flying" offense but it's really just a handful of plays with given checks based on the coverage..which should be easy for any D1 starting player.

    Bruce has had one good game this season, a 74 yard game in week one with 50 of those yards coming off one deep ball. He is not the player he even was last year. Your wrong, he was Hill's favorite target he just isn't getting the job done. Singletary even hinted that he might pull him from the starting lineup later in the season. Crabtree came off the street and his two games were better than any two of Bruce's combined. Owned.

  • @alwayza9er
    @alwayza9er Před 15 lety

    Hill is not the strongest or the fastest, but he is a smart QB who can manage the game. Singletary is going to run the ball with Gore. Having Crabtree, Jason Hill, and Vernon Davis will stretch the field for our running game. Gore faced 8 MEN IN THE BOX all the time and still got yards. Lets see teams do that to defend Gore with our improved WR core

    the crabtree/harrell duo is pretty amazing. As good as crabtree is though, i think harrell is a big reason that he is so successful. He has great hands, sure, but it seems like it is hard for him to make the big plays downfield (not to say that he doesn't). probably because of his size. But hey, he's still got a couple years ahead of him, so he'll most likely improve a lot.

    What no one understands is that a WR can't be a product of the system. Sure Tech passes a lot, probably more than any other team, but when we often have 4 WR's in the formation and play at least 8 per game, the product retort becomes irrelevant, due to how much skill Crabtree has regardless and he has to compete with 7 other WR's for catches.
