  • Before you upgrade to the paid version of Ideogram V1.0 watch my tests. I test the Ideogram Image Editor, The Image Upload feature and then compare them to the remix feature you get with the free version of Ideogram.

      @@ServeNoMaster1 actually very disappointed, I expected at least the it will have a mask inpaint as an editor , not a stupid sketch

    The paid tiers should give you the image layers and fonts in PSD format.

      You are reading my mind. I would love to get an export in layers that is actually usable. I have a new video that I'm editing now about an open source tool that does this, and can finally make an ai image with a blank png background. Will upload this week.

    Editor needs work, but once I understood what I could use it for, I use the editor to remove things from my image like extra words or letters, then run it again and it works pretty good. I also really like the image upload feature, but needs more tools like a spot healing brush to erase parts of the image. Using the eyedropper to select colors then painting over things to replace them is not fun, but it works amazing sometimes, also crop or enlarge is cool. getting the right weight is not easy but a few runs and changes to the prompt can set amazing results.
    It's clearly not a live generation tool or a tool to sketch out what you want, it's more of an editor to change some things in the image. I think with better brushes and removal features it's going to make slightly off images become perfect. I agree it was terrible at what you were trying to use it for, and they don't make it clear, so many will end up using the editor for things it was not made to do. I'm still playing around with upload and editor, but it's crazy fun to take a image (mostly using art), then getting some really cool effects with adding hand drawn text, like adding words by hand, then prompting like neon text or graffiti text...but you have to get the image weight just right, it's frustrating but trial and error you do get it right eventually. And you are right, you set weight to 4 and it still can ruin a face, even cartoon, but sometimes it's magical. For me it's worth upgrading but $20 is a little steep, but I'll give it a month or two to try it out fully.

      Wow. I love how you see the tool and use it completely differently. Would love to see a video of your approach so I can see what your describing. Maybe there is a really interesting use case here, but they should really have demo videos and walkthroughs. I had to guess what the tool could do and brute force this review, which already means they are making it harder than it needs to be.
      To slightly tweak an image...that could be interesting. But I still think it would make more sense to edit the image in Photoshop and then upload it to Ideogram. Why would I want or need to use their editor in particular? It looks like the editor upload an image as opposed to PSD data. But maybe that's what is happening in the background.
      Thanks for a comment that taught me something.

    Good day ; First question. When I type some text, the ideogram creates a completely different text for me. Why '' Second question: In our Latin alphabet there are letters Ć,Č;Š;Ž how can I use them or not. Thanks for the reply .

    oof, that's rough. I just started getting in to this stuff with a1111. Ideogram looks amazing for text to image, but after seeing the dress thing it's shortcomings are on full display. Controlnet's Canny feature with the red dress prompt and inpaint to preserve the face in a1111 would get wayyyyy better results. The flip side is a1111 takes a massive L on text.

      That's exactly what I have multiple tools that I work with. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, so knowing which tool is right for which task is essential.

    • @Elwaves2925
      @Elwaves2925 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Just an FYI, if you like A1111 I'd recommend giving SD Webui Forge a go. It's basically the same (you can use same settings and so on) except it comes with a set of useful extensions installed (including ControlNet), it's less resource intensive and it's a lot quicker. I've switched to it as my main AI software. One important point is to install it manually as the one click installer doesn't work with all extensions (like Stable Cascade). If nothing else, it's worth a look. 🙂

    Well, the questions I asked under your other vid don't matter now. I'll stick to the free version for text and logos. Between you and a comment from someone else here, it doesn't seem worth paying out for it and I'm patient enough to use the free plan. Thanks.

    • @ServeNoMaster1
      @ServeNoMaster1  Před 2 měsíci

      Ya I was REALLY surprised that this didn't turn out to be awesome. This is the biggest difference between a free and paid test I've ever had.

  • @Make_a_Splash
    @Make_a_Splash Před 2 měsíci +1

    I'm testing the same plan as you. I'm not too bothered with images of myself and I agree, the image upload and Editor are really low level. I am mostly enjoying the fast queue generation and interesting results. I have noticed even when you have a private space for generation, this tool is still NSFW censored, so if you are into that, sorry to disappoint you. It is great however for logo generations and image products creation. Overall, not worth the 20 USD as you can do that with the free plan.

    • @ServeNoMaster1
      @ServeNoMaster1  Před 2 měsíci

      Oh wow! I didn't even think of that for the private space option. I agree that the value is in faster generation, but the difference between free and paid is too small in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

    • @Elwaves2925
      @Elwaves2925 Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks, you just saved me some money as I was considering one of the paid plans. While I don't care for straight noodie NSFW stuff, I do like spooky horror stuff where elements of NSFW can creep in. It's one of the problems with all online services I've seen. The other questions I had are now irrelevant, so I'll be sticking to the free version for logos and SD for everything else.
